I've just read two reports that say The Arsenal have agreed a GBP17.7million deal for M'Vila, but personal terms will be agreed on Monday once our ECL status is known .

that's a lot of money for a 21 yr old - but if he keeps Song & Diaby out of the team, he's worth every penny.

This seems to be a big point, but what i want to know is the player saying he will join us if we qualify for the CL OR is the club saying to him we will buy you IF we qualify for the CL.Knowing our club i would say if we didnt qualify they would call the deal off.

the way I read both articles is that the fee is agreed, but the player will want compensating (wtf?) if we don't make the ECL.

taking a wild guess, i would think that the typical ECL appearance bonuses are more than the Europa League bonuses under the contract being discussed.

the base was suggested at 60k - which is about what Walcott's on I think.
