THE BOARD - Kroenke, Usmanov and Finance

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Whilst I agree with the sentiments, posts on a forum aren't gonna change anything. We need to start putting this opinion across in the stadium so it gets on TV and makes those *word censored* in the directors box squirm...

I'm sure Chelsea/City fans care that they bought their trophies alright.

Sure United have been buying their trophies for years, just because they get it through sponsorship and merchandise doesnt make a difference in my books
In my mind the difference with united is that they were winning before they started spending really big. So the money generated was through the winning of trophies which is perfectly legitimate unlike the chavs or city

Hmm, really? 20 years without a league title with millions pumped into it.

Which ever way you look at it, they pumped millions into it as nothing more than a Cup team before they started to dominate the league like they have.

You can't get away from the fact that those who invest...win.

Missed the boat, the time for it was last year when we were in crisis.

Capello is new Chelsea manager, done deal. Contract signed weeks ago.

That's a nice way (and typical) of doing busnesss a al premiership...... as much as i hate the way our own club operates at times at least we seem to have some bit of class about us.

I have never wanted this and deep down inside I probably still don't want this but Dein saw what was coming all along and he was right.

Title won by Arab petrodollars, Carling Cup won by £115 million pounds of pissed away Yank money and FA and Champions league by russkie petrodollars.....

We will never do better than 3rd/4th and if we're really, really lucky one season 2nd.

There's no point even talking about developing a good academy and bringing good, technical players through as before we win anything some rear-end entrance agent will be trying to sell whatever decent young player we have to FC Abu Dhabi(Manchester branch) or FC Chukotka(SW London branch) or FC Qatar(Paris branch) and that's before we mention the 3 yank gnomes that own Manure.

Financial fair paly is a load of old fanny, time to wake up and smell the money. Comrade Alisher come on in and get rid of silent Stanley...............

I can't wait for next season...Rat faced Nasri a title winner, mobile phone lover a champion of Europe and the fat walrus back in the prem with wet spam :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

apparently Usmanov has just made £5 BILLION  from that Facebook sale.

ok thats it, enough is enough. Money rules. Get him in now and wipe that smug grin off Abramovich's face.

the alternative is to spend the next 20 years in Chelsea's and City's shadow. Yes that's right you know how we laugh at Tottenham being in our shadow, well we are well and truly in Chelsea's shadow now.

You are correct. I would have thought he has cashed some in though. Would be madness to have all his chips still in play.

wakey wakey. reality check time

we are either in Chelsea's shadow or the Manchester City youth academy - take your pick.
History will show that Chelsea were crowned champions of europe last night.

Wenger has performed miracles in keeping us at the top table for so long but we wont win any of the major prizes again without significant investment in the squad.
