David Dein

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

David Dein

Post by supergeorgegraham »

Is it just a massive coincidence that since Mr Dein was chucked out of the club we have been quite poor in the transfer market and on the pitch.
I know we bring this old chestnut up on many occasions but if Kronk was to go and Usmanov did take over wouldnt Dein be the man to bring back or has his time away from the game ruined his connections.
If you were to ask me Dein leaving helped ruin Arsenal FC but that is only my opinion.

I wonder how many responses we will be able to rack up without the following comments:

1. His son is a *word censored*
2. He sold his shares so he can't love the club

Go on......lets see. Its about 1630 hrs now so I can only live in hope that those tempted are still on the bus or doing their homework

I was on a tour of the space bowl the day after he was given the bullet from the board and they had already unscrewed his brass name plate from his position in the directors box leaving a rather unsightly hole in it's place.

That is my David Dein story, I thank you.

(Oh and just for SteveO, if he loved Arsenal so much and he wouldn't have sold his shares for 75 million quid to some Uzbecki crook and his son Darren is a right bell end and all  )

another david dein thread :barscarf:

one thing we dont know is if dein and usmanov even talk anymore since he is no longer a part of red and white holding and to answer your question then yes i would love to have him back and it is very probable that our quality of player has gone downhill since dein is no longer in charge of purchases.

People do also forget that Dein is the reason Ashely Cole is no longer at Arsenal

I will actually cry if DD joins any of our domestic rivals especially if he joins the victims

Agree with Augie.
Dein was just the messenger for the board's financial policies.

There is already an Usmanov/Dein thread running (see link, please carry on discussion on that thread) so am going to lock this one.
