Arsenal Till I Die wrote:@SkySportsnews: Ajax and Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen confirms he will join Tottenham within the next few days. More on SSN tonight.

Basically confirming what we all knew would happen anyway.

It's really his account, not a fake one.

Apparently there's still no deal between Ajax and Spurs. I think Ajax are asking way too much money for him.

We don't/didn't need him. Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermalen, Song, Bartley, Ignasi Djourou. He wouldn't start unless we sold TV5. Rather we focussed on midfield and forwards. Our defence needs organising and protecting the quality is there.

Who said we were desperate in getting him anyway?

So how many central defenders do Spurs have now? The Redknapp transfer shuffle continues.

Whilst that's true, you don't just build a defence overnight. We didn't have a settled back 4 all season.

Oh yeah true, I forget that outstanding goal conceded record of 49 goals.

So lemme get this right: Spuds who conceded LESS goals than us need him, but we who conceded more goals than Sunderland  do NOT need him!

My God carry on please. That title of 'most deluded supporters in England' is being couriered over from Merseyside as we speak. Embarrassing nonsense.

I also remember reading that 'we don't need Mata' last summer, because we had Rosicky, Wilshere, Arteta and errrm...Song.

Oh but I forgot, Theo scored more goals than Mata.

Yeah. If we'd just kept a regular back 4 all season, we'd have been like the So Solid Crew innit?

Funny because Manure, Spuds, Chelski, Everton, and even Liverpool have had as many, if not more disruption to their back 4 than Arsenal have all season: Koscielny and TV have been fit most of the season, and moaning about Gibbs being injured is comical really. The only real big injury was Sagna, and he came back and played until the end of the season.

So even though Manure, Everton, Spuds, Liverpool and Chelski have all had more disruptive injuries to key members of their back line all season than Arsenal; each team just named has conceded LESS goals than Arsenal.

Uh huh. Loving the Apologists' excuses. Keep' em coming....

Bit unfair on someone who didn't feature for us all season. :|

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has indicated the club will move for £25m-rated striker Robin van Persie, 28, this summer if Arsenal fail to persuade the Netherlands international to sign a new deal.

Full story: Daily Mail

Real Socieded are ready to break the bank to land Arsenal forward Carlos Vela, 23, on a permanent deal after he impressed during his loan spell.

Moussa Dembele is available from Fulham for £10 mil. Why the f**** is that complete joker Wenger not getting involved?

Gokhan Inler is reported to have fallen out with Napoli. He is 100 times better than Song, we could nab him for about £15 mil. He was of course available from less when leaving Udinese (but our 'genius' manager never got involved).

Clint Dempsey only has a year left on his contract and wants CL football. Why are we not getting involved?

Oh but I forget there is 'no value in the market' (unless that idiot is selling)

Been wanting Inler around here for a long time, he's a real solid DM . Given Napoli's more fragile financial condition, we could get him for even less then £15mil. Won't happen anyways, we've got Song, 2nd best player in our Season :barscarf: :barscarf:
