As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Am I the only one who, Fenerbahce aside because I really want to go to istanbul, would definitely prefer to draw a big team? Juve, Real, AC, We always up our game and come through against the big sides, but stutter against the PSVs and Villareal's. We always seem to do much better as the underdog/ not the frontrunner, which is why I'm still backing us for the league even though we're now second if Utd win their game in hand.
Definately. Was dicussing this during the Milan games. When we draw a big side we have to step up to the next level and players like Fabregas love that challenge. Also when we play the big teams they generally want to play football and give us more time and space to play in.

I agree, except that Man Utd were the better team in both games against us so far this season. I just think they've got a mental edge over us. Would prefer to avoid another English side, although not through fear! I'd prefer Shalke to Barca, but take your point that past experience is that we'd do better against the latter...
