As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Poor man's Mou-rin-ho,
You're just a poor man's Mourinho
(By the way, like augie i think this guy got a bad rap at Chelsea but, given the right support by Levy and the spurs players, could turn out to be a shrewd managerial appointment.)
I was just about to say that - I guess I must have said it already back down the line
Like flash has said I think that this is a good appointment for the scum - the chavs was a poisonus shithole place where the main requirement needed for an incoming manager was the ability to play dead and allow the senior scumbags to rule the roost AVB has proven himself to be a shrewd manager and will be taking over a dressing room with no senior players there as such (by all accounts gallas is on his way out, king is retiring and greedy has gone back to citeeh) so he could do well there especially if he invests the modric money well
Jury is out for me on this one, maybe not given much of a chance at the chavs, or maybe they just realised he wasn't up to the job and got shot of him. One thing is for certain they would have won fuck all had he stayed and I don't know a chav fan that wasn't glad to see him gone.
It will be interesting to see how this goes as for Levvy giving him the support and time he needs, well that has never been their strongpoint either, just look at Arry, clge football only denied by a twist of fate.
My gut feeling on this one is, he doesn't have enough experience, and the spuds won't be content to nurture his talent (if he genuinely has any) Success in Portugal isn't much different to winning in Scotland, in which case Walter smith, Strachan and the like would be managing top prem clubs.

good point. Also he cant be that good at tactics and preperation if he lost 5 games in a row and lost 5.3 to us!

I have visions of him speeding around in his Land Rover, going from PL training ground to PL training ground to see if Skysports need any through-the-window interviews done!
