They are but they decided to run back to back tournaments to come into line with the world and european calenders and I aint sure if there was one in each of the last two years or if there was one last year and another this season although wiki suggests that there is one in 2013 :?

Oh of course, Augie is right. I'm not denying that part.

Just there's nothing mentioned about Henry joining on loan. Henry only speaks about coming for winter training and life after football.

Chamakh and gervinho are off to the acn again this coming january arent they ? Same shit different year
Anyway I remembered steve bruce saying last summer that he wouldnt buy any more african players cos of the disruption that was going to be caused by two anc's in back to back years and of course we bought the forehead after that
Then again, last year we only had RvP as our main striker (Park excluded) when the ACN were on. Bentdner & Arshavin were on loan.

Now we have Giroud and Podolski.

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Santi Cazorla as the spanish winger has agreed terms with the club. It has been reported that the Spaniard looks to complete a move to north London in the next couple of weeks.

The Gunners seems to have a bid of around £15.6million accepted by Malaga for one of La Liga's big talents

I reckon it's a done deal - seeing as he's not english and he's only 5' 4"...that's all that's required for AW to sign someone....oh and to give them a 25 year contract with an option should they get injured and want to extend it!

Cant help feeling that there are so many things wenger is doing in latter seasons that are designed to leave the next manager a pile of shite to work with :banghead: :banghead:
To be fair - he's left himself with a pile of shit to work with :(

I think it's quite apparent he isn't going to buy what we really need. I've almost become immune to the whole situation I can't get angry over it anymore. Arsenal have made me apathetic :?
wow how do u know that mystic meg? you been dvelving into wengrs mind?
No it's based on my own personal assumptions using the previous 8 transfer windows as an indicator along with the fact that he publicly has stated we don't need a DM (which in my opinion we do need)

It is my personal view and I have not once stated that I know the inner workings of Wenger's mind. Obviously people will disagree on my views on what is needed to improve the squad and I welcome their opinions

If I turn out to be wrong, great! It only helps Arsenal.

I trust that clears it up - I am not Mystic Meg 8)
Think this season is already different - we've gone out and bought 2 good players - yes they may not be as prolific as the Benzemas, kaka's etc but it shows lessons have been learnt.
if we bring cassorole from malaga i think it's great as it not only inceases squad depth but also stiffens the competition so players cant rest on their laurels.

So good you have to say it twice.

Dont worry im sure there will be a huge clamour for a post rumours thread on the 1st of sept, along the lines of reaction to who has signed for us and who has left for pastures new that type of thing
