THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger doesn't do tactics because he thinks he's above them. The arrogance of the man tells you that his set up can beat any team. It's well known that we don't even study the oppo before games. We just play our own game as Arsene believes it to be superior to anyone else (including Barca  ). Thus we get shafted by inferior teams several times a season as they set up to do a job on us.

In Arsene We Trust :banghead:

Aside from tactics the most annoying thing about Wenger to me is the way he goes abouit his interviews, I'm sure he really thinks we are stupid at times. Most recently I think around the time the money grabber made his statement, he said something about it being upto the club what happens with RVP and still has a year to remain on his contract - in short saying 'the club holds the cards'. Then, less than 6 weeks later, said "It's never great to lose players of that quality but he only had a year contract so we do not have a choice" :banghead: :banghead:
Can anyone else see the contradiction here? It really infuriates me that he cant just be honest or grow a pair.

Compulsive liars can't help lying. Wenger has lied for so many years, it actually comes naturally now. You cannot trust the man, pure and simple.

I can't believe that my latest post on here has just been locked because it was considered to be a wind up!
myself and Babatunde appear to be the only people on here recoginsing what is going on at the club.

I think since this forum's relaunch it appears to have been infiltrated by people at the club who are censoring any criticism.
what other explanation for some of flash gunners posts?

Ridiculous post. You should look closer to the AST for the real blame. The BSM have something in the offing and will give you an opportunity to take direct action before long. 8)

If you have a problem with me please keep it to pm and lets not fuck anymore threads up with personal spats....

and just for the record there is no conspiricy to hush up critisism  just a need to keep the bullshit wind up threads down to a minimum. Your thread that was intended to wind people up could easily have been posted in 3 or more currently running threads but as you know it would have been lost there so you felt the need to start a new one to really stoke the fire.

As i said please pm me if you have a problem with this but we both know you wont cheers

So

Wenger

What do we do now?

Sunderland game showed me one thing. He has a plan B but plan B didn't work for now

Well folks, he has one more opening day fixture till his contract is negotiated.

so you are hoping that he goes I take it?
can I remind you that our majority shareholder is Wenger's biggest fan and that if he stays then Wenger is going nowhere even if he loses the opening day fixture next season 5-0 to Wigan.

No Red take it as this......his contract runs out in 2014... Two things could happen

1. He signs a new contract
2. He will step down

The first option I understand will be a poor thing for the masses one suspects, the second option is the option all expect. For me, I see this...one more opening day fixture and then the new manager will be placed.

If Wenger has any honour at all he will step down, just how many years does he want to hold the club back??

Failed "project" when we were on the verge of domination
Absolutely shambolic transfer windows
8-2 against Manure
Flagship players undermining him and leaving
Lingering presence dividing the fans

These are the major issues for me. Should have walked for any one of them. Then theres all the other well documented/posted about shit he does/doesn't do.
He has no class. No dignity. No respect for us. No decency.
He has a really big ego though.

Unfortunately if he hasn't resigned after all of that - he never will. More likely he'll extend his massive contract beyond 2014. The fcuking horrible bastard is breaking my heart

For me, he had the player for plan B but didn't implement it coz he didn't change system or instruct the other players to cross the ball into him. They kept playing it into the big mans feet. Why he insists on playing 5 in midfield to mediocre teams is beyond me at home.
