Midfield

Post by supergeorgegraham »

After watching United last night I suddenly realized how good our midfield is. I have decided to blank out Chelsea and Man City this season because its impossible to compete on a level ish playing field with their cash.
So looking at the rest of the league with Corzola and Wilshere coming back. Add Arteta and Ox then go down to Diaby and Ramsey, Walcott its not bad.
Just think we need to add some steal as a Song replacement and we are there.
Goals will come from midfield but the pressure is firmly on Giroud as apart from Podolski I dont see any other goals in our forward players.

when I used to post this sort of stuff last season I was called a WUM.

A reminder on our midfield:
We have just sold our best midfielder to Barcelona.
All hope rests on the return of Jack Wilshere who has been out of action for over a year.
Our current best midfielder is Theo Walcott who wants to join the exodus from the club.
Corzola might be quite good but if he is then he will be sold.
I agree Arteta and the OX are good the same cannot be said about Diaby and Ramsey.

They were going overboard about Corzola last night comparing him to the best in the League. Ox has not even got started yet and Arteta is quality. Diaby worries me Ramsey worries me but so does the nightly news and the increasing price of petrol.
As for the selling aspect the way AFC are going a very good couple of seasons for OX and Wilshere and I agree Carzola will see them all depart the club. That goes for any player now who does well. We opened pandoras box and she had not washed.

ok so do you think the current midfield is better than that of

Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott and Song?

and going a bit further back

Vieria, Gilberto, Pires and ljungberg?

and if they are not as good then why not? I thought the move to the Emirates was so that Arsenal could compete for the best players in the world. It is not happening.
