Andre Santos nicked after 130 mph police chase!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I heard he was trying to get to Harry Ramsden's before it closed.

I guess one can say that the copper was a "Chubby Chaser?"

If true, Santos behind the wheel? Nutter. He could be ostracised in the dressing room and end up a No Friends Nigel. Man, sell him on and bring in Baines. It is not as if Santos is a great player, might though end up a cult hero like John Jensen. Button his mouth shut, and hope there are no more incidents where he is in a hurry, murray. Walker or cyclist, I would not want to be in his way when he is driving.

The Bastos and M'Bengue links starting to make sense. Think Wenger might be looking to offload him. Clearly not a serious individual.

I'd want to hear the full story first but if it is as bad as the headline suggests then Santos can do one

No doubt that the guy was stupid but I doubt the reaction would be as harsh amongst Gooners if it was tv5 that committed the offence. Personally I believe that instead of being ostracised in the dressing room as quartz suggests, this will be a huge source of banter amongst his team-mates and he will get the piss taken out of him for a long while over this.

For the record I dont see him being sold, I dont see wenger buying another left full and I certainly cannot see wenger spending 15m on a full back as he wouldnt see value for money in such a deal

Exactly. Footballers very seldomly take the moral high ground! He will have the piss ripped out of him for weeks.

Still, to me, he is a reckless prick that could have destroyed lives.

And he's also an idiot that was speeding in a car too! :-P

I can't see what the problem is, he just drove a bit faster that's all.
