Thanks alot Di Matteo

Thanks alot Di Matteo

Post by supergeorgegraham »

Barcelona interest in Luiz gets this reaction from Di Matteo.

"Luiz is part of our future. It's normal that he'll get interest because he's a Brazilian international centre back," the Italian said.

"There have been no approaches for Luiz and he's not for sale at any price.

"It doesn't concern me, the player will be here for the long term.

"I believe we can withstand Barcelona. Personally we don't feel any pressure from them. This club has been very successful in the past.

"I don't see why any players would want to leave us for anywhere else.

"We always compete for trophies. We're an ambitious club with an ambitious owner. We have great facilities.

"We have a great group of players who over the years have won a lot and still have the hunger to win more."

OK mate rub it in. Yes we are their lap dogs who role over whenever they want a player and Yes we win nothing so our players are fed up. Did not need to hear that from you Di Matteo we already know it !
Anyway we dont have your Billionaire we have a Yank who is the complete opposite.

He's saying that Di Matteo is emphasising that Chelsea are everything Arsenal are not.......a successful club, ambitious owner, pay top money, great facilities and players who want to win and they don't have to sell just because Barca come knocking. Sadly the only comparable thing at Arsenal are great facilities!! :? :banghead:

Yes thats what I was saying. Wish we released statements like that as it sends out a powerful message. We just seem to lie alot. Wish Wenger was more honest but maybe his hands are tied.

Could have said: "Babe Ruth would have made a good cop but he didn't, cos he was a bigot, dig it"; but he didn't.

At first when I heard it, I thought "well, that's a bit of a subtle cheap shot at Arsenal".

Then I realized, he doesn't give a fuck about Arsenal. Arsenal are inconsequential at the top of world football. Chelsea won the Champions League, got a shit ton of money (on top of their rich ownership), and brought in some incredible stars that will take Chelsea into the next 5 years as their aging veterans move on.

Maybe I'm just emotional after another testing day watching the game at Stoke, but after watching Abou God-awful Diaby, our apparent "replacement" for Song, and listening to how Arsenal are profiting in another yet transfer window, I'm coming to realize that we just aren't a big deal anymore - and opposition managers, like RdM and SAF, are just not going to waste their time thinking about us that much.
