Bergkamp, Overmars, Henry and Pires

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Bergkamp, Overmars, Henry and Pires

Post by SammyDroppedHisShorts »

If I am safe in knowledge didn't those four legends score their first goal for Arsenal against our next home opponents?

So on that note fill your boots Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla

Mind you who the fook will score at Anfield?

Amazing to think that the two fattest players every to play for us, Arshavin and the Beast, have both scored 4 for us at Anfield in the recent past. There was a time when that would cement you as hero status for life but the common consensus on both is that they were/are a bit sh1te!

Never mind the press, I remember the West Ham fans singing "Sealey's better than Bergkamp" when they brought him on as an out field sub at Highbury! Why the hell did they have to bring a sub keeper on as a striker anyway? Can't remember.

There was such a huge deal being made out of every game that went by without him scoring that when he finally banged that one in against The Saints, it was like the joint release of weeks of built up tension from the crowd.

Side issue Ian Wright scored his first Arsenal league goal against Southampton...Hat trick at the Dell. Think Anders limpar scored his last Arsenal goal at the Dell.
