Cesc to return?

Don't be fooled by this i'll only ever play for one English team bollocks from Cesc if he decides to leave barca he will go to anyone who pays him the cash and you can guarantee that wont be us. I'd have Cesc back of course but i dont see it happening at all especially not back to us

I never had any probs with Cesc going to Barca at 24 as I've always thought he will come back - at 28 or 30, it's just a matter of time imho.

maybe it's just the first year adjustment period, but he does tweet about The Arsenal regularly, so maybe he would accept a return earlier - particularly if we start winning things.

'when the coach says to go, i'll go ' is a telling comment, bearing in mind that Pep bought him.

he's a good kid, who i think would only seriously consider a move when his place in the Spain team is at risk, or he doesn't garner enough appearances to pick up another ECL or la Liga medal.

as Cazorla has only played three games against poor opposition so far, i'd see how Santi does before i'd consider any swap anyway - at the moment he's still 'unproven' isn't he ?

It's funny the way cesc gets hammered for a protracted transfer saga and accepting a 3m payment the summer before he left but henry, who seems to be most people's darling, also fcuked us about for a full season before extending his contract in which he received a £5m payment up front before fcuking off to barca the following summer anyway  A bit of consistancy please

Secondly this hard on for cazorla is a bit premature isnt it ? Yes we are crying out for a new star but the guy has only played 3 games and none against top opposition so while I agree that he has started very well, it is too early to heap pressure on a guy that is just in the door and hasnt proved himself in this league yet.

Personally I would re-sign cesc in the morning if it were up to me - he has been the one stand out world class player that we have had in recent years and has without doubt a strong affection for the club 8) I am not sure that I believe the buy back clause rumour nor am I sure I buy into the belief that we are the only english club he would sign for but then again I believe that any top player with ambitions would look elsewhere before they would join us :(

Absolute bollocks.
He'd turn down the chance to work alongside the best club manager in British football (and possibly European) history?
He would turn down a massive club like Man United? He would turn down more cash than he's on? He would turn down the chance to guarantee compete for major honours?
I assume you were also one of those who thought RVP would 'never join' Manure
If RVP can go there, Cesc - who is foreign and hence owes rsenal nothing - can easily go there.

Fergie would move heaven and earth to get him, he's a natural replacement for Scholes who they know they have to replace.

Is this an opinion or a FACT? its hard to distinguish between yours.
You also believed RVP wouldn't leave us
I also believed in Father Christmas at one point, we all get things wrong.

Only Gazidis and Wenger could manage to fuck up a situation where we have first refusal to buy him back and then watch him join Man Ure.

First refusal doesn't mean Cesc will want to come back though.

We've already seen how snide he is, if he wants to go to United then he will regardless of if we have first refusal.

I don't think he would go to Madrid, he would make Figo seem popular with Barcelona if he left Barcelona for a 2nd time to join Madrid.

Arsenal may have a clause to buy Cesc back, but I doubt we would pay what the clause would cost and I doubt he would come back unless it was close to the end of his career.

He won't go to utd. Fergie will make him apologise for launching that peporoni pizza in front of the utd squad.

In any case you dont seriously think he'll leave barca anytime soon. When Barca win the european cup again, i'm sure he'll quiten down again. And i'm not sure utd could afford him, highly likely another trophyless season and fergie will buy a CM before Cesc comes onto the market, and unlike last time Cesc in an open market will attract a higher fee because madrid and city will be after him for sure. If he is pushed out Barca by management, why would playing for Madrid be sacrilegious? its not quite luis Figo is it.
