Is anybody at all surprised at how that game panned out (other than us nicking a goal)?

I think it was some sort of franco-african trade deal - for every useless turd wenger signs from africa, he gets a piece of african land signed over to him so that he can drill for diamonds or oil or whatever

Life would be much happier if Wenger never spoke again in public.
Re: Olympiacos cl game thread
at least ill never have to hear the old arsenal adage of pretty football, no end product.
now we are just ****

now we are just ****
Re: Olympiacos cl game thread
Exactly. Our players can't even control the ball these days or weight a pass properly in the right direction. It's like watching labradors chasing a beach ball.Supagoon wrote:watching borussia outpass city, and watching their players' touch and skills all I can say, we've had a major technical downgrade. At least in the past we had skillful players with a poor defence, now we have no skillful players.

Another defeat, closer we come to Turnip being sacked.
Hopefully West Brom spank us on Saturday. I've bet on them in their last two matches and they lost both in poor defeats. Now they are average as fuck, but they should be well up for this game.
Hopefully they play Shane Long with Lukaku up front, and Odemwingie on the wings.

I dont want to live in a world where Gervinho is a professional footballer.

Re: Olympiacos cl game thread
The only surprise is that we scored.

I never understood why an Arsenal fan wants his team to lose, but I think Im beginning to understand.Irish Gooner wrote:Another defeat, closer we come to Turnip being sacked.

Right now, Arsenal are dying slowly on the pitch. We have a few bad results, followed by the occasional good result showing some hope, and this keeps Wenger in a job and the fans onside. This viscious cycle continues, and slowly, before we know it, we have accepted Arsenal are a mid-table team.
But if Arsenal lose lots of games in a short time, this really hits home to the fans, and Wenger would be under huge pressure meaning he is much more likely to be gone. Not only this, but with Wenger hopefully gone quickly, it gives more time for someone else to come in and turn things around

That was pure torture...they were rubbish so that makes Arsenal what ??? Really couldn't give a fuck about this competition at the moment. Who do we draw,? what difference does it make ? I will say something nice about Meade as it was his debut..he tried, he was confident and he competed..Everyone else couldn't be bothered, but special mention for Gerv the swerve..WHY IS HE PLAYING FOOTBALL AT ANY LEVEL ?
Re: Olympiacos cl game thread
It will be Dortmund and surprise, surprise, we'll see them off. Really, unlike most of you I actually do fancy our chances against every oposition (okay, make that 'other than Barca').OneBardGooner wrote:It'll Be B. Dortmund and they will KILL us.![]()

We'll win and everything will be rosey in Wenger's palms
