I said it at the time and I stand by it. Spending £12 million on someone who had no Premier League experience and was just about a regular for Southampton at the time was ridiculous. What we needed was experienced, grown-up players. Oxlade-Chamberlian has the potential to be a very good player but Wenger will destroy him.

This will be a tough game for us. Not because it should be, it just will be. Despite none of our key players having played tonight we will still be suffering from chronic 'fatigue' and a lack of 'sharpness' . WBA are decnt side and have a solid defence which I can see us struggling to break down. They've been a little off colour the last couple of weeks so its probably a good time to play them. Got to say I can see this one being a bore draw though
