How sad is it to see 4 of our ex players involved in this game - RVP, Nasri, Toure and Clichy

This is what baffles me most about the whole it's impossible to compete with Citeh line. It's such a lazy, narrow-minded way of looking at football, looking purely at the balance sheet instead of the actual team of players on the pitch - where the game is actually played.

One injury to Kompany and Kolo fucking Toure's on the pitch. The same Kolo who was well past his best for us years ago. Clichy's still a liability, Nasri still flatters to deceive. Balotelli only turns up when he can be arsed. Zabaleta's hardly world class. Gareth Barry still gets games. Clearly Citeh have some outstanding players as well, but there's no way anyone should look at their squad and say it's acceptable to give up before the season even starts or that only a managerial genius could have us this far behind them.

Utd always play 2 up front away from home.We dont play 2 upfront at home :banghead:

Utd 2 holding midfielders 2 wide men and 2 strikers its not rocket science

And Balotelli how does he get away with it

Look at the calibre of players on the pitch right now. Kolo Toure, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Nastjkjkjkstic, Barry and Clichy are all very limited players at the top level. Carrick, Cleverley, Evra and de Gea are just about good enough to justify their place in the squad. It's embarrassing we're so far off these teams.

Obviously very few of our players would be challenging for a starting berth in either side but when you really look at it which players do you know are going to consistently deliver quality? van Persie, Valencia, Aguero, Yaya Toure, Rooney, maybe Young or Silva if you're being particularly generous. Not vintage sides by any means.

The difference is the quality United have going forward and also the pace. Cleverley and Carrick are so average and can't get near Yaya Toure even though he's getting no help from his fairweather teammates Nasri and Silva, but despite being second best they still managed to go 2-0 up because they actually attack with pace and intent when they get the ball.

The Invincibles were miles better than both of these teams. Chelsea 04-06 too. Pro-Wenger fans insist that that team was built on a relative budget compared to other teams, so why is it impossible for us to compete with them now?

It is delusion of Wenger proportions when Mancini puts Balotelli in the same bracket as van Persie, Falcao, Aguero and co.

Flew in in the first ten minutes on Evans, absolutely dreadful tackle and runs round like a headless chicken since with no punishment.

Interesting that Ron Atkinson said they wouldn't have won the league had he not got himself suspended after his red card against us.
