I don't watch Sunderland or Cattermole regularly (not wondering why after Saturday) but every time I watch him the only contribution he makes is flying into tackles, many of them fouls.
His tackle within 2 minutes on Saturday was ridiculous. It wasn't just mistimed (although it was almost a full second late), it was a wild kick miles above where the ball was.

See, for me that is the difference. You can forgive one "mistimed" tackle, but when it's late and reckless and high? That's not mistimed. Ramsey was lucky not to get his leg broken tbh.northbank123 wrote:I don't watch Sunderland or Cattermole regularly (not wondering why after Saturday) but every time I watch him the only contribution he makes is flying into tackles, many of them fouls.

Seriously, f*** Cattermole. His entire game is based on "mistimed" tackles. Even when he was near the halfway line with no teammates around him all he wanted to do was slide into a tackle. I love how he even tries to look like some old school hardman with his top tucked in, shorts pulled up to his belly button, and a pair of puma king boots that look like they were inherited from his grandpa. If he showed even a hint of ability liverpool would have come along with 20 million by now.DB10GOONER wrote:See, for me that is the difference. Great result, quality, guts and determination. On days like Saturday I wonder why we can't show more of this more often. If we did we would not be pissing about in 5th place in the league.
As for Cattermole, I do not like. I generally believe his behaviour on the pitch is down to more than simple exhuberance. Not nice.
