New Away Shirt 2013/14?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why would Real Madrid be wearing a shirt with the Arsenal badge on it?

Well at best I'd give you 5 out of 10. It should be 'mark my words'. 8)
Fucking language :banghead:

In all seriousness, our Nike guy did tell us they would come up with a yellow blue trim to celebrate 10yrs from the invincibles
Can't believe it's been a decade already.

Shouldn't we just have an all black kit to show that we are in a period of mourning ?

There's a bloke who sits in block 1 of the west stand who on occaision does seem to wear a pilot version of the following season home or away top. I saw him wearing the green/blue top which got pulled, and the split blue one from last season. I guess keep an eye for him.

I'm pretty confident we'll get yellow and blue next year.

My theory is that the demand for the yellow/blue is very high amongst many fans; it hasn't been done in a while; and nostalgia-themes always sell well when the team is performing poorly. As well, I think Nike will want to do a yellow kit in their 'last' year sponsoring AFC, so that Adidas cannot cash in on the demand for yellow the following season.

Not the most credible of sources....really, still shows how small time we've become though - who would want to heavily sponsor the comically defeatist club we've become?

I do find it interesting that ever negative press article posted seems to be treated as gospel truth, but every positive article seems to be treated with disdain.

However bad things have become, we are still in the top 32 sides in Europe (and very close to Top 16). For a sport with as much money floating around it as it has at the upper echelons of the game, we are still a major draw for sponsorship.

Chickens coming home to roost methinks :( You dont have to be bill gates to know that sponsors, especially the Grade A type of sponsors, want to be associated with success and we neither offer success nor suggest that it is in our sights or targets  Granted you will still attract sponsors but not top sponsors and certainly not at the price your rivals will be getting and of course that will lead to questions as to why our commercial deals are so shit in comparison to our rivals  I want adidas as our kit supplier and I have said that for a long time but has anybody thought about what might happen if neither adidas nor nike are interested is our club ? We certainly enjoyed taking the piss out of our neighbours with their "pile of pony" kit deal but a continued spell without trophies might bring a similar unwelcome reality check  :x :x
