As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
kite wrote:Btw did you realise both goals United scored (well one came from Ramos tbh) came from wrong refereeing decisions? In the first leg they scored after a corner that actually should've been a goal kick and yesterday van Persie was in an offside position. Yeah just offside and only a corner but still those were the two goals United scored.
But of course it's the refs fault because he sent a player off. Idiots
From FIFA’s “Laws of the Game” page;
LAW 11 - OFFSIDE
Offside position
It is not an offence in itself to be in an offside position.
A player is in an offside position if:
• he is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
A player is not in an offside position if:
• he is in his own half of the field of play or
• he is level with the second-last opponent or
• he is level with the last two opponents or
• he plays for Manchester United
Should read the rules better next time before I embarrass myself again

First of all.... Thoroughly enjoyed Nuneaton v Luton last night. Ok, so an extremely tedious 0-0 which was not a great advert for the Conference.....but seeing those "Lu_on" fans so resigned to their fate as non-league also rans after beating us in the League Cup Final all those years ago. That was a joy. I also thought that £14 admission was bl**dy expensive compared to £32 (ish) for a cat B Premier League game... Actually made Arsenal look like good value!
As for United... Fed up with hearing the media joining in with the criticism of the sending off and it's impact on the game. We were leading on aggregate against Barcelona - and coming back into the game strongly - when RVP was given that 2nd yellow card for having a shot after the ref had blown his whistle. We got very little sympathy at the time - not even from other gooners! - and Barca were lauded....
They are still paying John Still £200,000 a year, non-league or not. That is half of some clubs' overall pro budget. I love to see them suffer while spending shitloads of money.

My mate from work who is a Luton supporter call them the Man U of the conference league and now is shit scared if they do not go up this season which is not looking likely Plymouth who may go down this season will be a bigger club than them great to see the Luton victims suffer .

don't be stupid boy. that's basic tactics to leave your quickest forward up there where one hoof can put him in one-on-one.
we are waaay past that.
its much better to let feo do what he feels is right and let his mentality, super quality and self belief score for us.

No way are they getting into the play offs this season... They were pretty shocking last night. They certainly don't look like the Man U of the conference league on this seasons form. Think the conference is a difficult enough division to get out of.
