Just been reading that RvP helping Utd to win the league means an extra £1.5m add on to the fee we sold him for.

Fucking brilliant bit of business Arsene. :barscarf:

lot of people hurting on here tonight, We have said for four or more years that our Club lacks the ambition to compete at the top. Selling our top players is correctly used by us as proof that our Club lacks ambition . Van Persie will claim his decision not to sign a new contact at Arsenal has been vindicated tonight, because the Club didn't match his ambition and a Club that does match his ambition to win the top prizes gave him that chance. I am not forgiving Van Persie , what I am saying is tonight he is correct, and we can acceppt that or console ourselves that he is a :censored: but he is a winner tonight. I would agree with those who blame our board and manager for allowing this to happen. Would Jack leave, he says no but he wouldn't be the first to leave for medals, money or both. I just hope that never happens, but if a footballer has ambition and a Club hasn't then what should the player do ?

Really? I wish more of our fans would direct that abuse at Wenger and the board...
THIS......
If all our fans showed the ambition to fucking actually win proper trophies like rvp the board and Wenker might start doing something about it, but all the time they accept failure and celebrate 4th place things will never change.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
After the pressure of this season I reckon wenger will quit in the summer....he don't look right

Well... tonight didn't tell us anything we already knew. Still not nice to watch but nothing new. We sold United the league title and despite the fact he acted like a true *word censored* with not a shred of dignity or decency, any bile directed towards van Judas will be easy now for everybody to label as bitterness at his success.

Will it teach the club any lessons? No. The real failing was not in selling him to United, but in actually convincing him to leave the club with our lack of ambition. The way he acted was fucking disgusting as captain but at the end of the day it seems as if he gave us every chance to convince him to stay and we made our choice. I don't like focusing on one individual that left our club best part of a year ago but it's really symbolic of where we're at as a club.

Just wish that there was a point or necessity to our situation but there isn't. We should be miles clear of clubs like Everton and Spurs, we were the best team in the country 2001-04 and moved to a huge new stadium to supposedly consolidate this position. Here we are now trophyless in 8 seasons, it's like we're effectively without a pot to piss in with transfers until the debt is paid off in the distant future, saddled with an expensive squad packed mainly with average to useless players that nobody will take off our hands and surrounded by people celebrating finishing 20-25 points off the leaders if it means continuing the cycle.

The way RvP left with his press statement was classless.
But he spoke the truth - under Wenger and this owner we will not win a title unless there is a massive change in how things are done.
The club knew RvP's worth, but decided to let him go.
Ultimately the money we spent on Giroud's fee and wages could have kept RvP for another three seasons.

I do not hate him, but it is all so unpleasant.

That was truly fucking awful seeing that tonight. I dont know why I watched it to be honest because it was never gonna be good viewing.

Have to say that anyone who hates van Persie for leaving to join Man United but still loves Wenger is beyond me. Wenger agreed to the deal ffs. This is as bad if not worse than what RvP did because Wenger is Arsenal's manager and he is supposed to have the interests of the club at heart ... not just his own interests like players do.

Any manager with any respect for his clubs supporters would NEVER sanction that deal. But we all know Wenger doesnt give a fuck about the fans who pay his extortionate wages. He's probably got that smug little smirk on his face right now, thinking he played some part in guiding RvP to the top but Wenger is undoubtedly part of the reason RvP wanted to leave.

Of course Van Persie wont admit it publically but its fucking obvious he knows Wenger was taking the club nowhere. Anyone with any sense knows this. And whatever RvP is, he is not stupid. Remember his reaction when Oxlaid-Chamerlain was subbed? Thats what he really thinks.

Wenger's tactical ineptitude and clueless decision making is there for all to see and clubs lack of ambition cannot be denied any longer. Selling RvP confirmed that once and for all.

And money had nothing to do with Rvp leaving. Any Arsenal fan who thinks RvP left for that reason is deluded beyond belief. He left for nights like tonight. Pure and simple. It's sickening but it's true! A night like that was never gonna happen to him at Arsenal even if he stayed another 8 years.

Still ... I'm sure while RvP celebrates his title winning hat-trick and maybe gets goal of the season we can console ourselves with top 4 and Olivier Giroud instead.

And maybe we can ask Robin if he comes down on Sunday if we are still the proud winners of the 'trophy of respect' ... or have we fucked that one up too?

:? I'm confused! You think he left because knew he wouldn't win anything at Arsenal but think we could have paid him more to stay?

I was glad that RVP made that statement and nothing since has changed my mind, he knows that we've turned into a bunch of gutless losers which is a total reflection of Wenger, now a serial gutless loser and he even says to Fergie when he sold RVP that ''you've got a better player that you think'' What a complete Arsehole!

Christ, we simply can't win, can we? We ban trolls and you all whine like bitches and call us nazi mods. We show a bit of leniency and you all still whine like bitches!

We are keeping track on several members (both new and older) at the moment and when they do something that actually warrants a ban we will ban them. Knee Jerk has been banned for a week. If he keeps up the WUMing on his return it will be permanent. Alot of the trolls/wums we ban are caught before they make too big an impact so alot of them go unnoticed by the regulars on here. But you can rest assured we are on it.

We're all pissed off with this season, for one reason or a dozen. RvP (Judas), the board and Wenger, but remember, we all support the same team. Too many posters have been squabbling just lately and falling out. Let's keep it civil chaps.

The single biggest act of treachery ever carried out on Arsenal Football Club was the sale of RVP to United. And to think it was done by our own manager. :banghead:

Fergie's head nearly exploded when he found out there was a chance Heinze could move to the scousers a few years back and he made it his mission to derail that move.

Wenger, Gazidis, Kroenke.....cretins to man.

It was never going to be pretty viewing last night- to be honest its gotten to the stage of apathy. I could be angry but whats the point really? JVP has been proven right to move to Manure and got his hands on a trophy. Going into this season I think we all expected it to be groundhog season but to be fair to ODL we have broken new ground this season- going out to a League 2 team in the Carling Cup and a Championship relegation candidate in the FA Cup will take some beating next year

United boss Ferguson said: "I remember Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger saying to me 'he's better than you think' when we concluded the deal. He was right."
Absolute cretin. You have turned Arsenal into a joke.
