other pl games this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

find any Gooner sympathy for vanStaplecunt bizarre
we paid his wages for 8 years, he gave us 1
liar, hope he gets injured
then his wife catches him again
and this time cuts it off

Even more bizarre is the refusal to acknowledge that his concerns were understandable and his criticism totally valid.

right how?
If he'd gone to Juve or Bayern (or even arguably added 20 goals to some nearly teams) he'd have won something...

Yes but it would have needed Juve or Bayern (or indeed Barca and Madrid, who have also been mentioned previously as options) to actually make a bid for him - which apparently didn't happen. :banghead: :banghead: Therefore he was left with City or United. Had he gone to City then no doubt people would also have been claiming he went for the money. As it is, he went to United because he felt they had the better set-up to provide him with trophies. Yes, he got a huge wage rise to go along with the move, but that would have happened whichever club he joined, or indeed if he had signed a new contract with us.

not sure how you got there
La Liga and the Bundesliga are clearly superior leagues
the CL is a more prestigous trophy

if vanStaplecunt was willing to take less than the £200k pw+ ManUre are paying
he would have easily got a move abroad to a massive trophy challenging team

JD misses the posts he cant answer, havent you worked that one out yet?

and JD saying the Bundesliga or La Liga are superior is totally subjective. Personally i would say the English Championship is up there with everything and maybe RVJ thinks the same :?

let me start the cryptexplanations - I know Flash finds codebreaking (reading) a challenge

my post is a specific answer to Hleb's
Hlebby points out only Citeh and ManUre were left in -
well if it was all about trophies, and he was a Gooner loved the club etc etc
he could have made himself available at a lower wage level
that would have instantly bought other clubs into the picture

this year the semi's of the CL are 2 x Bundes 2 x LaLiga, that was the basis I was working on
I think the Prem has got weaker year on year for at least 5 seasons

Irrespective of money/wages and the 'judas factor' (im going to email Simon Cowell with that idea for a new TV show) . RVJ wanted to win a major trophy/trophies and within 8 months has while the team he left has floundered with the sub standard players he wanted to get away from

ie he was right

right: That which is morally correct, just, or honorable: "the difference between right and wrong".

He was correct in that they won a trophy
but so did/will Juve and Bayern

So did Mansfield but should he have gone there? I don't know the ins and outs of his personal life as to why he wanted to stay in England, and yes i feel he shat on us Gooners, but he was NOT wrong :?

'right how' means? and if he isn't right he must be wrong
