NEWCASTLE AWAY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have a very, very bad feeling.

Last time I felt like this was when we lost to Blackburn.

I'll be at my boys last game and possibly league winning game today.... which might not be a bad thing!
I'm hoping we really tear into Newcastle today and not wait for things to happen, if we do that we will win if we don't it may well be squeaky bum time.

Whatever happens wenger will have his post match comments all typed up rehearsed and ready for public consumption:

Win: Well errr we ave once more won the virtual trophy of fourth position (chavs will get 3rd!)and so I am offf on Oliday wizz my DJ friend who is teaching me ow to err spin and scratch.

Lose: We err played wizz ze andbrake on too much, ze ref was to blame for zee six penalties we shud ave ad, and all zerr goals wuzz offzide...we ave 70pence to spend on new players zo zerr will be chonges, in zee meantime I am offf on Oliday wizz my DJ friend who is teaching me ow to err spin and scratch.

2 -2 draw.

the scum will rip the mackems a new one - sad to say (sorry SAFC) - with monkeyboy diving again for a pen and greedywhore scoring in the last mnute for a win.

I Hope I am Wrong...

Newcastle have won 9 at home, only drawn 1 and lost 8.
They have conceded a lot of goals at home - 30
We have the best away defensive record - only conceded 14 and a reasonable away scoring record - 24
Our recent form has been good, theirs has been poor.

Hopefully Newcastle will be playing with their flip-flops on but no doubt we will be nervous.

Newcastle to score first.
Arsenal to win 1-3

Is this an anti AFC based proposal ? :rubchin:
Doubt it.

More likely that the extra £4M Newcastle could earn by giving us a heavy beating and finishing up the league is a strong incentive to Ashley, and he is trying to motivate his team in a game that will be hard for the players to be motivated for.
Why a heavy beating? Let's be honest here if they do beat us it will be because we have under performed, but they will never give us a heavy beating with that team, never.

I played cricket yesterday, one of my mates, a spud season ticket holder is more pessimistic than most on here.

Anyhow even the hammers fan that plays for us wants The Arsenal to come 4th.

Cricket called off today as the other team only had 7 players available so this means I will be watching :| :barscarf:

Dont worry you will never be man enough to walk in my shoes   :barscarf: :barscarf:

Anyway I havent been warning lads not to get ahead of themselves cos, as I suggested previously, this is a game that is nigh on impossible to predict. I can see why some might feel that we would wallop them and I can see why some fear that we will blow it....unpredictability is the hallmark of this Arsenal team

Dodgy vindaloo last night :?:

I felt sick playing cricket yesterday but that could be due to the fact that it's my sons 21st birthday next weekend and we have set up party tents with pool table etc in the garden on Friday, anyhow this all had to be rigorously tested as well as the alcohol (don't want to be offering stale beer  ), stumbled into bed at 3am, literally fell out of the bed at 6am when turning over

Played cricket for 6 hours feeling fucking awful

And if you had of fallen asleep in the middle of it would anybody have even noticed ? An old geezer that was a customer in our pub years ago used to say that cricket is a funny old game.....it's the only game that can last five days and then be declared a draw cos you run out of time
