SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Will you be sad to see him go?

And more to the point do you think that he is actually worth £10m (I dont btw) ?

Very mixed signals in the market re keepers at the mo - we have barca and valdes saying that he will be honouring his last 12 months but we also hear that as soon as valdes signs for monaco reina will then sign for barca and mignolet will sign for the victims :? If reina is valued at 8m (seems to be widely accepted figure) then how can mignolet be valued at 10m ? Would reina be worth a punt at 8m or do the wounds with him still run too deep ?
Personally I still cant believe we havent signed cesar
I think he looked an excellent keeper for Sunderland last season. What's he doing signing for Liverpool? Hasn't he heard that being in the Chumpions League is the be-all and end-all. How can Liverpool sign anyone - they didn't finish 4th? Didn't they watch our wild celebrations at St James's Park and sit back and watch us sign everyone in sight?

I've got a good feeling mate.

Guardian are not known for printing bollocks.

Higuain would be a hero here.
Wenger spends £25m on a striker and I will have my photo taken with She-ra & her sister alongside the banner, whilst wearing an "I luv AW" T-shirt arm in arm with the animated fella we all know and love in the famous picture.

That's how fucking confident I am that it will never happen. I await City / United / Chelsea / Bayern's late bid to take him away from us. I'm sure that 17 goal machine from St Etienne will be a more than adequate replacement though

Fancy Liverpool having the cheek to potentially match the selling clubs valuation of a player - haven't they been in the game for more than 30 years ?
Don't they know its best to wait, wait a bit more, wait a bit longer, let your opponents strengthen their already superior teams, then go in last minute with a knock down bid, which gets rejected as derisory and laughed at ?

Don't they also know that without Chumpions League football they are supposed to crawl up into a corner and die a slow and miserable death, as the world is simply not worth living for without those exciting 6 group matches followed by a good pasting in Milan

This bloke on Twitter called Gary (@GAFC11) who states that he's "not one of those ITK wankers an wouldn't say it if it was bullshit" claims that Arsenal are seriously in for Rooney and its all down to whether Rooney wants to.

If all this IS true (more than likely NOT) but if it is then this tweet excites me -

[quote]@GAFC11: I've heard Wenger didn't instigate the move. Feathers ruffled.[\quote]

If the rumours are true and the above tweet is true then does it mean that the board have had enough of Wenger's signings?

Please not Fellaini - he'll be fucking useless in our team and Lord Wankpot will never spend any money again

Fellaini would be an ideal signing, they both would be tbh, but we all know Wenger will never go into those kind of big money deals. Sherlock Holmes once said 'reality is the foundation of my craft'.

Wenger will not change his ways, we all know that.

The closest we'll get to any of these high-profile players is putting in a derisory bid and trying to haggle, allowing us to run crying for the mystical FFP rules when another club swoops in and actually pays the fee and signs him instead.

On a non-Arsenal transfer, if City really are going to get Isco then what a player they will be getting.

He has been class for Spain in the u21s in israel. Only saw glimpses of him in the champs league but he is some player.

You just kniw if we fill our squad with more Ligue 1 sh*te this summer then Pellegrino will unite Isco and Santi in summer of 2014. Those 2 in front of a holding player will tear the league apart. :(

Hope you're right as would be good to have proper competition for Ches, even if he does like the Hollywood saves in front of the camera.
