Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
I pray so. Not only would it be by far our biggest signing since Sol over a decade ago but it would mean we're not going to sign that clumsy fat wannabe Jack prick Ashley Williams.
Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Yes, and I still would love to see us sign him. At the time I thought he was the highest calibre of player we could go for as I never for one second thought signing Higuain was feasible. But the club have proved me wrong so kudos to them.augie wrote:1989 wrote:Listen matey, it's not only the daily fail reporting it. They seem convinced he's ours (decent pun effort too)
I know all these foreign articles make it seem like the news it everywhere, but they're all quoting the Daily Mail as the source... so that's the only article worth linking to, surely?then you have to ask whether the Daily Mail is a reliable source or whether they're just putting bells and whistles on an old story even though no more information is actually available?
Put aside all this needless cynicism. It's going to happen. Get excited.
I'm 100% sure it will happen and if it doesn't I promise never to post on here again.
Better hope it does otherwise not only would Higuain not come, but I won't be seen on here again and that surely is a far bigger disaster.
I thought that jovetic was the player you wanted us to sign ?
If it comes down to choosing between Higuain and Jovetic then it's Higuain all day long and I would imagine it's the same for most gooners.
Anyways...

Not saying it won't happen at some point, but I'm not convinced many (if any!) of these articles have any hard evidence to go on before adding bells and whistles to increase traffic to their websites.
Anyway, I hope you're right - I'd love Higuain to sign, and of course it would be disaster if we lost your contributions to the forum as well![]()
- that double whammy would be hard to take

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
It's looking promising but this the most delicate part of signing him. This is the time when Dick Law and his merry circus start haggling over 500 quid a packet of discos. Oh well, at least if we don't get him thats another one to go in Wenger's book of nearly signings.1989 wrote: Yes, and I still would love to see us sign him. What if we see him in a chippy?StuartL wrote:Arsenal Till I Die wrote:I'm sure we'll get Higgy. The thing is, despite the doubt about how much we'd pay for a player, I do think that Wenger's hand was forced into high priced buy's.
It wouldn't surprise me that much if the Board gave Wenger a list of quality players and said you HAVE to pick one or two.
Until he is pictured on a pub on the blackstock road ala Per 3/4 years ago then I am not going to believe it.

Then I'd be surprised (and impressed) by the length's Chippy would go to to entice a world class player...OneBardGooner wrote:What if we see him in a chippy?StuartL wrote:Arsenal Till I Die wrote:I'm sure we'll get Higgy. SkyBet have just suspended all bets on Higuain to Arsenal.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
If what has been said prior is to be true then we've agreed a deal with Higgy when Wenger met him and his father last week. Papers reporting we've had a fee agreed and are set to sign him. Now, betting never gets suspended if any of this was bollocks - especially from Sky.REB wrote:Arsenal Till I Die wrote:Reading this excites me;
