and finally he went away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I was there when he scored his only PL goal at the Grove vs Stoke.

Not sorry to see him gone but he didn't sign himself, pick himself or pay himself....but yes he was a disaster.

You're right Brady - at the end of the day like it or not you have to realise if you're going to offer players millions of pounds a year most will not slash their earnings to go and play at a shit level.

Not that that morally vindicates greedy bastards who refuse to even go on loan because their life is so fucking comfortable at Colney.

So was I..... the best thing he ever did, especially against those :censored:.
Glad to see the back of him though he was total garbage the rest of the time.

A disastrous signing. It seemed whenever he was on the pitch we were good for a goal or two going into our net. He made everyone around him nervous. Many blame Diaby for the 4-4 catastrophe at Newcastle, but until Squillaci came on to replace an injured Djourou, we were 4-0 up. And guess who made the underhit pass that encouraged Barton to make the challenge on Diaby which caused all the havoc? That's right, Squillaci.

FFS saw the thread title and burst into wild orgasmic stupor thinking Lord Wenker had finally fucked off.

Terrible, terrible of the OP.

Surely a bannable offence.

Apparently we are getting 2.8m for him which is surprisingly decent.

My guess its because he's a home grown player meaning he takes 1/8 quota.

Yeah I remember that, start of 09/10 season. Unfortunately we then stuck faith with Mannone for too long until he pushed a free-kick straight out to a striker at 2-0 up at West Ham and we threw away 2 points.
