Howler may cost Australia first Test.

Aleem Dar's all-time umpiring howler late on day three of the first Test may have cost Australia a chance to go 1-0 up in the Ashes series.

Australia fast bowler Peter Siddle has seen bigger shockers than Dar's inexplicable decision to give a nicking Stuart Broad not out with the match on a knife's edge at Trent Bridge.

But they hardly came at such a pivotal moment: "Probably in the backyard, maybe off my brother," said Siddle, when asked if he'd seen a more obvious nick.

They love a fucking moan down here.

Ashton Agar plays for the Perth Scorchers and WA. He is now a legend and hero down this way.

Haha undoubtedly England fans would be spitting feathers if the shoe was on the other foot, but after two dubious (and more important) decisions regarding Trott and Agar that went in the Aussies' favour, they haven't done badly overall. Plus it'll teach them a lesson for wasting reviews on LBW shouts heading a yard down the leg side.

Firstly, I'm in favour of walking - in life, and in cricket.

On this issue - I prefer to keep things separate. As it is, England gets upset about Trott and Agar, while Australia get livid over Broad.

Australia can feel hard done by, but the umpire made a howler and the Aussies didn't have any appeals left because of their own stupidity. Trott was done because the TV people fucked up. I think that's harsh!

So, all's fair in cricket and more cricket.

Should be an excellent day today.

In these situations the batting team has a habit of being mopped up quite quickly in the first session after the hard work was supposedly done yesterday. I hope that doesn't happen and bell and broad maintain their focus, time and the weather are not factors so we need to bat as long as we possibly can.

Another good day's cricket and good to see England sticking to their task so well. Apparently, it's a full-house for day 5 and with any luck, Swann can spin the last four out pretty quickly and we can move on to Lords one-up.

Gulp. :worried: :worried: :worried:

Don't under-estimate Haddin either. Still not over but we should go on to win the test from here. 8)
