As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I agree Klopp seems good but why are his best players keen to leave?
Nuri Sahin (2011/2012) - Real Madrid are the richest club in the world and arguably the biggest too. Not many players reject them.
Shinji Kagawa (2012/2013) - Man Utd are a bigger and richer club than Borussia, also more popular back in Japan.
Mario Gotze (2013/2014) - Bayern are a bigger and richer club than Borussia and Guardiola personally wanted him:
He [Klopp] continued: "Götze has gone because he is Guardiola's personal chosen signing and he wants to play with Guardiola, in his style. I can't make myself 15cm shorter or start speaking Spanish. I cannot preach a football based on quick transitions and then [suddenly] start playing tiki-taka." Source
Lewandowski (2014/2015) - he probably wants to go to Bayern for the same reasons as Gotze.
Mats Hummels (????) - if he does leave, it'll be for a bigger club:
He [Hummels] told Sport Bild: "My father and I reject 99.9 per cent of all clubs around the world when they let their interest be known. But Barcelona is one of two or three clubs that would make me listen to them if they did make a move for me. I would have to look at it, but I am not saying that I want to go." Source
If we had a little light of ambition the transfer window could still not be too shit. Oezil and Khedira want out from RM, RM are pissed at tottenham, I'm sure we could take them with a decent offer... We won't, of course.
Not sure where this Flamini hatred comes from frankly .
It was the Club that ran down Flaminis contract not him and it was Edelmans stupidity and lack of knowledge about how football works that led to his leaving.
Early in the season He Asked for Parity in wages with Hleb which was 80 k a week, the club offered $ 45 and that quite literally was that .
He suggested he could negotiate but was told 45 is it take it or leave it . In March as he was allowed to do he was approached by Milan who offered him $80 a week.
Despite his he went back to the club to say he would for 60 K but they refused so he left.
Quite unlike Nasri he is a calm quiet man and very respectful and notably the only then current Arsenal Player to attend Paddy Gallaghers funeral !
I have no idea if he can hack it in the prem but if he can then I would welcome him back with open arms !
Blah blah blah......yeah we'll be active alright.....signing the latest piece of shite recommended by jokers like Karbassiyoun and Grimandi. I actually hope and pray that the useless wanker stays inactive because his ability to compete in this day and age is nil. Its the equivalent of giving a senile old girl a lottery jackpot and watching her spend the lot on a refuge for abandoned cats. He will make a complete fuck up by signing more deadline day shite that we've barely heard of and tie us to a whole new set of Denilsons and Bendtners.
This man will never ever ever win Arsenal another trophy and to let him loose with 70m would be like letting a 5 year old loose with £20 in a sweet shop.

Flamini wasnt worth 80k a week and that is a fact - you can argue (with some justification) that the likes of hleb werent worth 80k a week either but that doesnt justify giving it to what was essentially a squad player at that time and anyway two wrongs do not make a right.
The hate for flamoney came from his persuit of money over career - here was a guy that was beginning to establish himself in our midfield and had just been called up by his country to the senior international squad for the first time but he chose to follow the money to milan to sit on te bench behind gattuso (who would have eaten him alive every day of the week and twice on a sunday ). How do you think that move worked out for him then ? It panned out exactly as many of us said it would and hence he never had a chance to eatablish himself in the french squad and his career has faded to the point that he is a nobody that no club wants even though he is on a free When I say nobody I obviously dont include a 7.5m per season senile old c.unt who doesnt know his arse from his elbow but who continues to almost single handidly boost the french economy through buying shite players from their clubs and then paying them ridiculous wages
Herd wrote:Dunno what u were watchin but him and Fabregas were on the verge of carving up the league ,id have had him at 60 k a week all day long !
I said that he wasnt worth 80k a week and never mentioned 60k. What I will say though is that we have been burnt far too often by rewarding players handsomely after a few months of impressive performances and then getting stung big time - in that regard I'm not sure that 5 years ago 60k-80k per week would have reflected his status
We have to start asking the question of just how can Gazidas keep his job when he is so obviously inept at managing to sign anyone. Daily Mail points out we have sold 17 players and signed just 1.
We lost Cesar, Higuain and Suarez wants to stay at Liverpool now because the fans are nice lol. Sounds like a bunch of bulls..t to me.
