Macedonia 2 Wales 1. Far too familiar a story with no visible tactics implemented, and bullied by a poor footballing side in front of an unfriendly crowd.

Don't have anything against him as a bloke but Coleman is well out of his depth. He's hardly blessed with a plethora of great players but for a Wales team he's not been dealt a bad hand. Bale is class, Bellamy and Ramsey are good players, there are another couple solid PL standard players like Williams, Taylor, Hennessy and a few decent youngsters like Davies and Jonathan Williams.

We've lost 8 out of 12 games (including to Bosnia, Macedonia, Costa Rica and 6-1 to Serbia) and only registered 9 goals under Coleman. Nobody was expecting us to attain a top-two spot but we'll probably end up finishing 5th and being bogged down into this vicious cycle of poor seedings.

Worst of all is that Coleman's reign is sucking all the hope out of Welsh football - the Speed/Verheijen/Roberts era was a breath of fresh air and optimism but Wales are looking more and more likes the dark days of Toshack. Unbelievably Coleman has been offered a new deal and by the looks of it even has the cheek to drag out negotiations because the terms aren't favourable enough to him. The FAW makes the FA seem like a well-oiled fountain of footballing passion and common sense and will quite happily watch the team predictably write off another qualifying campaign or two under Coleman just like they did under Toshack.

Semi-pro plodders with no aim other than kicking lumps out of footballers are another reason (along with fixture congestion and generally not wasting everybody's time) why Europe needs some sort of pre-qualifying tournament. Instead UEFA in their infinite wisdom have decided to widen the qualifiers to 24 as of the next major tournament.

Finland lost 0-2 to Spain. Fucking pathetic display but what would you expect anyway. Cesc played striker role, or not really striker as there were any but anyway. Santi got some playing time but honestly would be better without it because of injury risk. Finns didn't take too heavy approach though, so there were no real injury risk but you never know of course.

Spain tried to walk the ball into goal and Finns just parked whole squad on front of their own goal so it was quite boring match. We had some chances but didn't have any luck.

Next week it's Georgia for us. I'd imagine I could handle that one too (barely) before next weekends real football.

Yeah, you are right about that!

I live in very small football country and even here these qualification matches are worth of nothing, and I mean the general interest here. Of course like today, when big countries visit us it's usually high interest on the matches but generally not so much. Luckily players here won't do that brainless kicking all around but generally have respect to european top players and teams. Of course, fighting between similar teams are sometimes quite fierce...

We wouldn't qualify for the tournament anyway or maybe we would if the tournament would be played in every single european country and we would be there as a host...

Ireland had a decent start to their game but ended up looking like a clueless bunch of amateurs. Not a big International fan but I found it frustrating that Trappatoni could introduce a Championship player and leave three (at least) Premier League players on the bench. Shane Long had an unbelievable nightmare, lucky to avoid an early booking for persistent fouling and then amazingly doing a Gervinho impression by failing to spot Robbie Keane unmarked six yards from goal.
Sweden, apart from the obvious striker, are a very ordinary team but ended up looking far more comfortable than the 2-1 scoreline suggests.
Like most on here my concern is Arsenal's game at Sunderland and no injuries from these games.

Ozil almost got completey wiped out in the first five minutes. But he didn't. So everything's fine.
