Bucket list

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Wow, well done mate. I'd love to see the Great Barrier Reef!

In the last 10 minutes, I've just booked 17 days in Thailand over Christmas and New Year - can't believe I'm actually going! :-P

I added a stopover in Abu Dhabi, mainly because I've never been to the middle east before so thought I'd check it out. Looks a horribly artificial region of the world though :?

Which would mean being in the middle of a desert, or at the top of a mountain.

I reckon I can probably achieve this before I pop my clogs.

Number one on my bucket list is not even remotely achievable. There is no way I will get Kylie Minogue and Carol Vordeman in bed. At the same time.

I managed this while I was working in Brazil in the 2009 blackout.

I was sitting outside a bar and the power was out for hours - looking up at the sky was amazing. Made you realise how much light pollution affects the view.

Also loved the fact that the bar couldnt charge us for beers and food as they could not swithch on the till or track what we had ordered :barscarf:

If you're going to Bangkok, the modern city is a shithole of the first order, but the old city is special. Well worth taking a day to do all the temples, palaces etc. Oh and watch out for lady boys in the evening it is REALLY difficult to tell the difference!

I boringly can't think of many interesting things I want to do before I die.
1. See my 13 year old son go on to graduate from University, get a good profession, get married and make me a granda.
2. See my other little boy grow up and become as independent as he can possibly be.
3. Become mortgage free (7 years to go)
4. Myself and the missus to retire well before our 60s
5. See the Arse win the league again.
All rather dull.
