Just read on BBC gossip that Romanian striker Ciprian Marica is close to joining us on a free as he is unattached to a club after being let go by Schalke. Thought only championship clubs could sign players from this week? Who next Gallas and Bentley to return ? Anyway who is this player and is he ant good.

If he's been 'let go' then I think it's reasonable to assume he isn't great. But free is free and that makes him good enough for Wanger. He'll get 50k a week for fuck all, alongside Yaya Nogo and Barry Bender!!

Sounds a bit of an upgrade on Bendtner, Sanogo and Park, but not much of one, will do for cover on a short term contract (which can be extended if he proves himself) but thats about it. Jan 1st we need to be making a proper signing for a forward, not sure yet who I'd go for yet.

What the hell, just bring him in. He has 63 gaps for Romania and 22 goals, so he has at least some experience on international football. It's not much of a proof though, but still seems better backup than Sanogo. Give him short term contract and we'll see what happens.

Techincally pretty good and decent physically but is an utter crock and has failed to cut the mustard for the 'big' clubs he's played for.

In some ways he's right up Arsene's street, career to reinvigorate before flogging on. I wouldn't bother though, high wages to sit in our cavernous injury facilities.
