Now I would prefere these options to wasting time bringing on Chamkah, Gervinho who were correctly sold. 4.We lost out on Higuian and others but if we signed him we would might not have signed Ozil. Its looking better right now than it has for a long time and the club know our squad is thin. Jan is hard to sign players but with our climb upwards and certain players around the world not getting enough first team action due to very large and expensive squads then our club would become very attractive. Think Angelina Jolie bent over with a red and white thong !

1. No he did not - he hasn't got the consistent finishing ability to play as a striker. He is not a natural penalty area striker so doesn't have the positioning awareness required for the position. He gets too easily crowded out when played through the centre. He has zero ability to hold up the ball and bring others into the game - lets forget about make believe worlds and focus on what we have and what we have is a system that plays one striker up front and that striker is needed to hold up possession and bring others into the game and wally can not play that roll

2. In over 12 months at our club, wenker hasn't played podolski as a centre forward half a dozen times - yes we all believe that centre forward is his proper position but the reality is that wenker doesn't think he can play there.

3. Are you for real ?? FFS the guy is totally inexperienced and has shown nothing to suggest that he is good enough or anywhere near ready to play first team football for us. In fact if arsole used his head he would see that playing the kid too early could have a real lasting negative effect on his career.

4. Why do you say that ? We had the money so finances were not the reason ? Why could we not have signed both ? :?

how people can still dispute wally playing as a CF is beyond me,he was our top scorer last season,is our second best finisher behind Pod and if he was for sell you can bet a big club would buy him.the way people carry on its as if the whole farking squad is shit, did you not see his goal against Marseille?

Big plus point is that Ozil alone will attract bigger names
No he won't!!! Because if Wanger doesn't want to sign anyone or more importantly, sign anyone of real quality......then we won't be signing any 'big names' except maybe Mbongo Mwa Mwa Kipriang Traore from Cameroon!! (made that name up....)

I expect Wanger was told to buy Ozil and that's why he won't sign a new contract, he hates being told what to do!! He hated signing Ozil because he's signing success and he does not like doing that, we'll be back to ligue deux misfits come January/next summer if he stays (which I don't think he will now that someone has told him what to do at last) :barscarf: :barscarf:

He's not our second best finisher. He puts away some good finishes but taking into account just how many chances he fluffs I think there's a fair few players in our squad who'd put away a higher number of his chances than he does.

Also bearing in mind Wenger's insistence on 4-5-1 Walcott is only a reasonable CF option against absolute gash sides that defend too high and are a complete shambles.

There was nothing more comforting than seeing an Arsenal team sheet that read -

DIXON - BOULD - ADAMS - WINTERBURN

I used to listen to matches on the radio as a kid and write down our team in a copy book and the sight of those 4 names filled me with belief. So reassuring. Happy, happy days.
Happy days indeed,if we went a goal up you just knew we wouldnt lose :barscarf: we can hardly say the same about the shower we have at the back thesedays
Lost count of the number of 2 goal (and more) leads we've thrown away in the last 5 or 6 years.
i have been going 43 years
newcastle away remains the only time we have been 3 or more goals up and not gone on to win the game

We don't physically asterix out the word, mate - we've simply put a spell on you so all your expletives are censored 8)

Try it - call your wife a *word censored* and all she'll hear is gobbledigook ( :cussing: ) ... try and write it down, and it'll be immediately asterixed out ... try and give someone the finger, and all they'll see is a blurry hand.

You're officially censored mate in all aspects of your life until you fuck off and support Chelsea :D

Quite the opposite I think Wenger signed Ozil to save his job and the clubs reputation. I also think that his failure to sign a new contract is a plan to get fans back on his side. We are playing well at the moment and have the best midfield in the Prem League. Real Madrid only have Benzema up front and Chelsea forwards are useless. We are not alone but Giroud has proved quality this season and Podolski knows how to find the net. Maybe we wont sign anyone in Jan but the team is better for having gotten rid of the likes of Chamkah and Gervinho.
