ARSENE - I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT I LOST JUST A LITTLE BIT OF TRUST IN YOU TODAY, DUE TO YOUR WORDS NOT BEING MATCHED BY YOUR ACTIONS. THE SAD THING IS, IF YOU START LOSING THE TRUST OF THE LIKES OF ME - WHO DESPITE NOT AGREEING WITH ALL YOUR DECISIONS, HAVE TRIED TO BE FULLY SUPPORTIVE - THEN YOU REALLY WILL BE IN TROUBLE SOON!! :([/quote]

IHH that is exactly what i feel to wenger,id never say sack him but today i lost a bit of faith in him

I think it speaks volumes that a few hours after a game has finished, the number of comments on a game are at an all time low. It just shows that we're all too gutted to write anything. I just keep going back to the 93rd minute of the Birmingham game, the start of the fall. It's all about if only's now. I want to be positive about Tuesday but we just look mentally and physically shattered. Before today (and it's not rose tinted specs), we were more than capable of winning all the remaining games but now I just want the end of the season to come so that the manager can have a serios re-think on strategy. It is criminal that that you can have 60-70% possession in games and not turn that into goals. It's got to change. These little flicks around the edge of the box drive me bloody crazy the number of times they don't come off. I don't know whether to turn to porn or beer tonight to drown the sorrows. What a fucking disappointment.

I'll second that! Please don't build us up in the press conferences, don't build up the team to believe, then play the reserves.

The next time you decide to play reserves against one of the big four, can you please let the Box Office know? They can change the match from a Grade A Fixture down to a Grade B, and save us all some cash...

And on that, what was with the shit crowd and hundreds of empty seats all throughout the game, not just at the end?

My mate and I miraculously scored tix for today via Ticket Exchange after much hard work and time and stress, only to find a crowd not even half up for it! Don't like 1245 ko's? Don't buy a ticket. It's not rocket science!

Please don't tell me the ''spirit'' is good in a dressing room that's just lost the title. These players better be hurting right now, either at their performance, or at the fact their boss didn't let them start a game they wanted to win for their team!

Pull your finger out and remember who you are and what you represent. The Arsenal..

THAT WAS THE WORST ATMOSPHERE ALL SEASON - AND AGAINST LIVERPOOL!!  REGARDLESS OF HOW POOR THE NOISE LEVEL USUALLY IS, AGAINST THE BIG SIDES (AND SPURS) THE CROWD ARE ALWAYS UP FOR IT. ALAS, NOT TODAY. :(

IN SUMMARY: THE ATMOSPHERE WAS SHIT; WENGER'S TEAM SELECTION WAS SHIT; THE TEAM PLAYED SHIT AND THE END RESULT WAS SHIT. ALL IN ALL, QUITE A SHITTY DAY, I THINK YOU WILL AGREE!!

One of the main reasons for the empty seats was that the trains were all fucked up. If you look at the SW trains thread you'll see a number of season ticket hlders didn't make it. I had to drive.

I think there were also a load of problems at Euston too.

I agree the atmosphere was shite but its difficult to say wheterh this was all our fault or the fact that the team didn't seem up for it and didn't give us much to get excited about.  :?

DUE TO HIS TEAM SELECTION TODAY ARSENE WENGER BETRAYED ALL OF US THAT HAD THE AUDACITY TO HOPE WE MIGHT JUST PULL THE IMPROBABLE OFF AND WIN THE TITLE. HECK, WE WERE TRYING TO TAKE OUR LEAD FROM THE MANAGER, WHO MAINTAINED ALL ALONG THAT WE WERE STILL IN IT AND THAT THE TEAM WOULD BE GIVING IT THEIR ALL UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON. YET WHAT DOES HE DO? PLAY OUR 3RD CHOICE RIGHT BACK; OUR RESERVE LEFT BACK (WHO HAS STRUGGLED ALL SEASON) - BOTH OF WHOM ARE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT THE MOMENT; OUR FORMER DEFENSIVE LYNCH-PIN WHO HAS BEEN OFF THE PACE ALL SEASON AND IS PHYSICALLY PAST IT, AND OUR BEST MIDFIELD PASSER AS THE SECOND FORWARD!! THE FACT THAT HE HAD TO TAKE BOTH FULL-BACKS OFF SAYS IT ALL REALLY.

I HAVE NEVER FELT SO DISAPPOINTED BEFORE A MATCH EVEN KICKED OFF, AND IT PROVED TO ME FINALLY THAT EITHER WENGER WAS BEING DISINGENUIOUS ABOUT US STILL TRYING TO WIN THE TITLE, WHEN IN REALITY HE IS THROWING ALL HIS EGGS INTO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BASKET. OR EVEN WORSE, HE ACTUALLY BELIEVES THOSE SELECTIONS WERE THE RIGHT ONES AND GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN THE GAME - IN WHICH CASE, I'D HAVE TO SERIOUSLY START QUESTIONING HIS JUDGEMENT AND HIS SANITY!!

Very Good Post IHH.

The whole season now comes down to Tuesday night. And if we bomb out at Anfield we'll be so disjointed that OT on Sunday week will be an anihilation :(
As for the League if we can hang onto third, I'll be surprised.

It was like a funeral today. The way Fabregas played makes me less nervous for Tuesday. Dude is burnt out. I think Monster Masch is gonna have one of those games on tuesday. Rafa won the tactical and psychological battles today by some distance.

You should work for the sun or radio 5

Explain yourself more clearly rather than using glib phrases that would shame Phil Thompson. That way we could decide whether you are right or not.

just got back to bristol after being at the game. really dissapointed today. after watching both games this week i believe liverpool are a better side. sorry to say that but there squad it so much better. alonso, kuyt and babel not even on the bench today.....

they have two world class attack minded players in gerrard and torres...we have one in cesc. having one or two more world class attackers is vital if we are to improve

until we bolster the squad we will finish where we belong and that is fourth. manure, chelski and liverpool are better sides.

ps bendtner, eboue, hoyte, traore...leave please cos your all very average

I dont think any of the players picked today let us down really but can see where you're coming from. The squad needs to be strengthened and if Wenger cant see this, it's a joke....Remember 03/04...Lehmann, Lauren, Cole, Toure, Campbell, Pires, Ljunberg, Vieira, Gilberto, Bergkamp and Henry widely considered to be the starting 11, experience and fight, not just that but Keown, Parlour, Edu, Wiltord, Kanu etc were all in reserve and able to do a good job if called upon. This current team wouldn't have stood a chance against the one of 03/04

I agree wholeheartedly with IHH - Wenger said one thing, and then did completely another.

Having said that I thought Gilberto was Arsenal's best player today - simply outstanding (especially in the second half).

Can anyone tell me why Bendtner was sent to play on the wing when Adebayor came on? The lad had just scored, confidence up and Wenger tells him to play on the wing. Fucking disgraceful.

Of course all the talk tonight will be about Arsenal and how this brave young team etc etc etc...load of rubbish. Plessis, Lucas, what are these? Gerriatrics? Plessis made his debut and looked very competent. Finnan and Crouch and Plessis are all second string, bench material right now.

We made 8 changes. Our CORE of Gerrard, Torres, Alonso, Babel, Kuyt, Aurelio, Mash were all missing.

Rafa has done brilliant with the academy and in strengthening the squad- and it showed today.

Plessis looked like a dirty *word censored* who went over the top of the ball on two occasions.

BTW we couldn't give a toss about what sort of job Rafa is doing with the Academy - this is an Arsenal forum.

I have to take you up on that because regardless of what happens on Tuesday I don't think you are as good as we are - and we are nowhere near good enough.

You certainly have spent a lot of money - then compared to us Cambridge Utd have - but your team is LESS than the sum of its component parts.

Ours - frustratingly - is far MORE. And that's down to Wenger. But it's also Wenger's fault that we did not spend on a winger -Riberary; and a central defender last August, when this would have made the difference to us winning as opposed to not winning the title.
