THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No shit Sherlock ! In other news....bear takes shit in woods

Only when I've worked in football for 30 years would I ever realise that selling your captain, only world class player (at the time) and golden boot winner to a team in the same division....would have a destabilising effect on the team

Still Wenger out, overwhelmingly

I see out latest 'trophy' to be proud of is the most PL points in the year to date for 2013. I'll make room on the mantelpiece next to the groundsman awards and the ladies trophies
...and Manager of the Month, Emirates Cup (not as many as we should have tho   ), Ladies Champions (altho that's history too! :banghead: )

I trust they'll all be recognised at the Arsene renewal bbq.

Please tell me something, how was it possible after the first game (home defeat) to turn the season around? And what does it mean with respect to Arsene Wenger?

I will reserve judgement until the season starts getting serious and we have to respond to adversity but I do think its churlish to deny the man any credit. If he'd been sacked in January and a new manager had overseen our run since then people would be lining up to suck new mans balls.

It always helps when you have a run of games against some of the most average/shit teams in the league  Of our domestic league fixtures, only 3 this season have been against teams that finished in the top half of the league last season (and two of them were Swansea and baggies  )

Btw, arsole wenker is still a massive c**t

Where was that mate? Rendition started back of block 3 but didn't spread beyond that, didn't hear anything else.

Fair enough it was noisy everywhere towards the end, I'm sure his disciples will be even louder next week against the might Palace.

Lol - as it happens I met the old fella after the match yesterday, meaning I had to endure an hour or so of banter with the Block 2 AKB's after the game :D

As you can imagine, I'm getting pelters at the moment and any attempt at a reasoned argument that reminds them we are still only in mid-October is lost in a sea of praise for their Lord and Master and all the "I told you so" stuff

Still - couldn't detract from a brilliant day (even if the upper tier atmos is still as piss poor as its ever been) and deep down we'd all love nothing more than to be proved wrong by There's Only One

Judging by the impact its having on the contract renewal decisions I'd better line up every local butcher in town.....

to be fair you can only beat who is in front of you,and we did see off spuds without breaking into a sweat and dismantled Napoli which was apparently 'our big test'.yes we have tough games to come but credit where credit is due,the next month will see how good/bad we really are but our points tally so far is impressive,we cant be that shoite can we,the table doesn't lie :barscarf:
