I've bought tickets for Mrs Spuddy and I to go and see Miss Saigon in May 2014.
It's coming back to the west end after more than 20 years break. I can't wait!
I also got tickets to see 'The Woman in Black' for the week prior to Christmas. I'm told it is an excellent play. Fortunately I have not seen the film with the little Potter fella in it so I have no pre-conceived ideas as to what to expect.

I haven't seen it myself yet but it is apparently on Mrs Spuddy's list of things to go and see.
I've seen Les Mis about a dozen times now. I never get bored of it. Matt Lucas was superb in it a couple of years ago.
I saw Phantom back in the early 90's and was impressed with it but one of the best I saw was Miss Saigon. There was also quite a funny story to it.
My girlfriend at the time was the manager of the Harewood Hotel in Marylbone. She used a regular ticket agent to get tickets for visiting Americans. As she did a lot of business he agreed to get her tickets if she wanted to see a show. He also fancied her like crazy, it was so obvious. She was seriously hot and I was definitely batting above my level with her.
One day he offered her top seats at Drury Lane to see Miss Saigon. he told her there were two tickets available and would she like to go. She agreed, phoned me and arranged to meet me in London to go on to the theatre that night. When we arrived I was a little behind her as I got seperated temporarily. When he saw her his face lit up. I heard him tell her he was so glad she had agreed to come. She then turned to acknowledge me and told him that I was her boyfriend and we were grateful for the tickets. His face hit the floor and embarrassed, he handed them over. I was pissing myself inside but didn't let it show. It hadn't occured to her that he was asking her on a date!
We watched the show from excellent seats that were made even better by what went before.![]()
Even afterwards I had to explain to her what had happened. She didn't use him again as an agent!
Was she an Ewok?![]()

One thing that I do like about theatres is that you can actually get a drink or snack without either missing the end of the first half or the start of the second

Went to see 'The Commitments' last week. Highly recommended! Music is brilliant, sets are very clever, and the lead actors are superb. Apart from a few dodgy Oirish accents.
