As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Don't really know where else to put this and certainly doesn't warrant it's own thread or dragging up previous Clattenburg/racism thread imo. Southampton complained to the FA that Clattenburg said the following to Adam Lallana:
"You're very different now you've played for England. You never used to be like this."
After their official complaint was dismissed they've now decided to kick up a shitstorm about it and throwing around terms like "personal insult".
Referees who snarl at players all game and have unfounded arrogant complexes like that cumstain Mike Dean ruin games but imo there is absolutely nothing wrong with Clattenburg saying this. Just like I wouldn't have a problem with a ref telling Rooney that being England's golden boy doesn't allow him to act how he wants, telling Januzaj that he is a known diver or telling Wilshere that he should stop making a meal of it every time he gets clipped. Perfectly reasonable observations for a ref to make and don't stray anywhere near bias.
