As I said in the other thread, normally when that injury occurs the person is in agony. Theo seemed fine on that stretcher so I assumed all was ok. Really bad news as he was playing extremely well since his return :banghead:

Jesus Christ somebody must have told John Cross that Walcott's got terminal cancer or something looking at his Twitter.

Thats bulllshit.Theo has missed more than half the season and we are top.
We didn't have FA Cup games and two legs against Munich in with ties against Liverpool and United then. February is the month where we need a fully fit squad to mount any serious title challenge. Losing Walcott's pace and movement is a big dent to that.

Really? Second half of the season - injuries to other players likely to occur - Giroud is crap and hasn't really done any better than last season - Arsene unlikely to sign a player that is better than or equal to Walcott

The sum of that is, our squad is weaker now, we're in 3 competitions and if we take the cups seriously it'll mean our lack of squad depth will be ruthlessly exposed.

Horrible news. I was genuinely shocked when I found out. Hope his recovery goes well.

And isn't it weird that a guy, who got called up to the World Cup when he was 17, won't get to play in it until he is at least 29? Life... :?

You are right red.

Theo is jinxed.

Quite shocked as he looked nothing like Bobby did when he did his cruciates.

This only screws our season if they let it. Strap on a pair boys andcarry on. Gnabry and the Ox are good replacements.
Hope he gets over this and come backs stronger but his pace is gone for good with this type of injury .

Steve Claridge on 5live seems to think 6months is a long time for ACL, and he wasn't in pain. I wonder if our Dr f**king Shipman med team have been at him.

Its an ACL injury so if its torn it will be closer to 9 months rather than 6, he will struggle to be fit for the start of the new season if thats the case. Wenger simply has to buy another attacker now he has no option, Ox isnt fully fit, we cant tell how good Gnabry is going to be every game and Podolski may have to play a number of games up front.

Must have done a module in medicine whilst he was doing his Journeyman Footballer degree at the University of Nobodies

Hardly unheard of for an ACL to be 6 months minimum, even a medial ligament injury you're generally looking 3-6 months. Would be surprised if Walcott is fit before September personally.

I feel really sorry for Theo. He's often very frustrating to watch, but when you look at his stats at the end of each season he's always scored his share of goals and made plenty of assists. We'll miss him big time.

imo his injury means we need to buy two players, a striker and now a wide man (please God not Kalou).

S**t - looked fairly innocuous challenge but when he was patting the turf I knew something was wrong. that's a huge loss for us and England.I thought he was looking good and added another dimension to our attack, thought we missed him when he was out. get well soon.
Ox is back training and I thought Gnabry was really very good against the spuds, in fact whenever he has played this season he has impressed. He is strong skilful and not afraid to take players on- time for Wenger to play him more methinks.
