Kim Kallstrom - the saviour? Arsene knows
Re: Kim Kallstrom - the saviour? Arsene knows
If he had £100m to spend, for what reason wouldnt he spend it if he thought it could help us win the league? Anyone with a brain would spend it. I dont think he just 'chose not to", there is somethig going on.
He's obviously under some serious pressure from above to make money and not to spend big. And whoever comes in after wenger will be under the same pressure. IMO, and i admit when wengers tactics etc are wrong but the money problems at arsenal are coming from above wenger.

I'm sorry, I don't buy this argument, this is a classic AKB line. If he is under so much pressure not to spend and is being restricted, then as a supposed intelligent man of integrity he should resign and tell the truth! Instead, he pockets one of the highest managerial salaries in the world whilst moaning about money in football. You are right, there is something going on and it stinks!!topcat wrote:If he had £100m to spend, for what reason wouldnt he spend it if he thought it could help us win the league? I'm now an "akb" for saying that there are problems above wenger at arsenal. Brillaint. Anyway, If he resigns and tells the truth, its just going to be the same for the next manager.
Its pretty comical seeing you all rant about wenger behind your computers but actually doing nothing about it. Me personally, if i felt that strong about something in life like you all appear to do so on the online gooner, i'd do everything in my power to do something about it. So far i've seen a banner thats been displayed once or twice and a few hilarious stickers saying "enoughs enough, wenger out" ...come on, do you really hate him that much?

Exactly - as has been said above we're supposedly competing for 3 major trophies with two horrific runs coming up in the near future and massive massive resources - why on earth are we going around signing players like Kallstrom on a "meh, if it works out" basis? Either we needed the immediate cover (in which case he doesn't fit the bill) or we didn't in which case it was a pointless signing. I half suspect that Kallstrom was a player Wenger admired about 5 years ago but would never have paid the cash for whilst he was at Lyon.

Just as Arsene says - "There's a possibility he will not play, but also a possibility he will score a vital winning goal."topcat wrote:He may well be average. But i dont think we've got much to loose to be honest. We're paying him from when he's fit (so lets say march) till the end of the season, so just over 2 months! And he should be back for our hard run, thats our real hard run! Spuds A, Chel A city H...and if hes not back then we dont pay him, simples. If he scores a winner in any game or proves you all wrong and turns out to do a good job for us then it'll turn out to be an ok bit of business i reckon.
So he may not play at all?? Or he may score the winner against Chelski or Spuds, mmmmmmm your a clever man, much cleverer than us all.

Some of us are doing something. At the end of the 2009 season after the disgraceful surrender to Utd in the CL.I said i would never go to another Arsenal game while Wenger is in charge. And i havent been back since and havent regreted it.For 5 years the club has not had a penny out of me.And there are many like me.So dont say we havent done anythingtopcat wrote:

Just take a look at how many empty seats were in the ground today

Welcome back mate, I've missed you!Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:Ah yes the old Arsenal medical team's patent-pending Peanut TherapyTM.topcat wrote:Sharing the cost of the treatment will be peanuts between two clubs.
Thirteen ounces of Sun-Pat lathered over the injured area before said area is amputated, delivered by Dubious Unnamed Taxi Driver Courier and his mysterious black dildo to the Moscow State Circus to be hoovered clean by the trunk of a rabid caged elephant, returned to sender and stuck back on using Chamakh's leftover special hair "glue." Injury miraculously cured, player rehabilitated just in time for a "little setback." Rinse and repeat.

Ok donaldo, ive been reading this forum for years. And to be fair users like you, augie, and many others i can see are very strong opinionated and have been very consistant about your thoughts of wenger, you've both done your bit by not giving anymore of your money to the club. But unfortunately, i dont know any individuals as such but theres a lot of people that just look daft with their wenger out calls now! People that still go, still pay their money, still buy the new kit etc, they do everything to help resume the way the clubs going and say nothing against wenger when their actually there!!!......... But then come on here and slate him. I just dont understand what changes them people are hoping for at arsenal.

Sorry old chap. Just read this 3 times and I'm still not sure what point you are making.topcat wrote:Ok donaldo, ive been reading this forum for years. Patronising me eh? Thanks. Its all pretty clear to be fair.
The "wenger our brigade" that does nothing about getting wenger out except expressing it over computer. Thats the point im making. I wonder if they actually exist in real life sometimes.

I honestly am not patronising you. I did not fully understand the first post. I think I understand more now. Do you really believe that there are no real anti Wenger fans in "real" life?
Re: Kim Kallstrom - the saviour? Arsene knows
I dont see any like on here, i go 5-8 times a season with my dad, we talk around a bit in the pubs pre match....and i honestly dont come across people really angry towards wenger like the majority seem to be on this forum...i dont get it.

I do what I can, had a few verbals in the ground a couple of times, I stand by my opinions. I don't buy any official merchandise anymore either. However, I do still go, been going with my dad for over 30 years. I know the board don't care for my support and take it for granted but this is my club, always has been and always will be long after Jesus Wenger and his disciples have gone!topcat wrote:Patronising me eh? Firstly don't believe what you read in the press this is my take on it.
Spartak Know the mans crocked so when Arsenal come a knocking for a loaner they see a way of reducing the wage bill.
Arsenal bite their hand off and since its all last day stuff they of course couldn't do the medical .
Now you might think this incredulous but we took Arteta and Yossi without medicals , which I made comments on here at the time because its INSANE to take players on with a proper and thorough medical.
I simply do not believe for a second that we signed him knowing he would be out for up to 6 weeks in a season where all our crunch games come in February and March ,that would would be ridiculous .
Further I do not believe for a nano second that Moscow agreed upfront to paying his wages until he is fit cos they would have been better to keep him ,this is pure Bullshit however I don't rule out that they may have backtracked after this all came to light and they might face sanctions if we went after them so a compromise may have been reached.
In short we have failed to bolster the squad and will be dammed or delirious very soon as the matches come thick and fast .
Come on you Gunners
