THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Did you know that if you put Arsene Wenger in to google search the 2nd entry auto completed is Arsene Wenger Coat

Not winner, arsenal, French or even manager, but coat.

Fantastic legacy that is. Lol.

I wonder if someday someone will ghost write an autobiography of that coat ?

Imagine? How can a person allow a Coat zipper have such dominion over him?

Just get a new coat or get the zipper fixed if he has such sentimental attachment placed on the coat.

Thats the story of Wenger. Keep doing the same thing and working the same things the same way year in , year out hoping that some day, it would magically change .

The coat will be 'retired' when he goes, the zip will be polished and the coat hung in the Arsene Museum for all to see..... 8)

I've updated my status Sir. Chips. I'm moved on from he won't sign and am now firmly in the he can't sign camp. The good ship Arsene has entered the long forecasted shit storm and even choppier waters lie ahead. He had his chance to sign back when we were dispatching the dross and top of the league, now that we're getting our bottom paddled by the serious clubs it's au revoir Le Turnip :barscarf:

Is it possible that the arrogant cock felt that we would win most of these current run of tough fixtures and that his new contract would be announced with a fanfare to celebrate our return amongst the elite clubs ? Now that the results and performances have gone tits up (to date), he and the board are left in limbo knowing that announcing it in the middle or end of a poor run of results will not be well received by the fans ? :rubchin:

Am trying to cushion myself from the inevitable blow of him re-signing by trying to push all hopes of him walking away out of my mind

I don't think there's any doubt that the offer was always going to be there for him whatever happened this season.

And although I want to get myself hopeful that he won't stay, you have to think about Wenger's ego and how fantastic a job he thinks he has done and continues doing. I doubt he'll be thinking he needs to sneak in a contract extension at the rosiest time because to him only an idiotic minority of greedy clueless fans would oppose it.

We will be gone out of 2 cups by 10pm weds night and he still wont resign,i couldnt give a shit about the bayern game ,i reckon we will get stuffed over the 2 legs similar to wht bayern did to barca last season. To me today is our best chance of a trophy + the fact i hate the scouse scum with a passion.I know i should be posting on the match day thread, but if this prick fucks up this game today ,i hope fans at the match give him what for.
