No I'm not criticising him for being boring or cliched, it's the ' we'll win the league this year' " we'll bounce back stronger" bollocks that bugs me.

The Disneyland optimism is over the top And I'd rather they were a bit more realistic

Like I said just diplomatic responses. Saying we are good enough to win the league, saying we will respond to setbacks. Jesus what do you expect the guy to say? Hardly the players' place to deliver hard-hitting home truths.

Looked a lot dangerous once we hauled the postman off and Giroud came on, no end product before that.

Great game though :barscarf: trip to Wembley! pray we avoid Citeh...

No I don't expect players to address club issues at all, that's not The Arsenal Way. I think they should be more modest - talk about its a tough league, we'll work hard, try our best etc NOT every year tell us they have the quality n experience to win it year after year....imho perform first then talk up your game.

It's what I expect from the chavs n spuds not us.

It's as bad as 'super quality' and 'mental strength' .

I swear your bipolar or something, your always massively over confident or totally cynical
It's the Cup mate, anything can happen. We could fuck it up against Sheff. Utd or Charlton too, and knowing us, you wouldn't be shocked.

I actually feel optimistic about this. There are two chances for Citeh to get knocked out before the Final, if we manage to do it in the semis then we'll have won the Cup, simple as. Wigan will batten down the hatches tomorrow and escape with a 0-0. back to their place and they scrape a 1-0 as Citeh's fixtures pile-up. COME ON!

Exactly, after years of hearing Terry, Gerrard and Rooney umming and erring IMO it's refreshing to hear players being able to speak properly. The Ox and Theo are good role-models, clean-cut, no horrible accent, makes me a bit proud that they're Arsenal players. :barscarf:

Brilliant, brilliant result. Broke my Arsenal duck and had come all the way from the states. I was sat first row, club level, block 75, taking the absolute piss out of all the half-baked Toffees below. Had a water bottle, a mars bar and probably 10 quid chucked at me. Stewards did fuck all.

Fair play to the guy in block 27/28, 6th row or so, who started tearing into the stewards and the OB after his daughter/wife was hit with a full beer bottle in the head. No place for that.

I didn't think that the way the club reduced the allocations for the last two ties cast us in a particularly positive light, but I have to say they are being completely vindicating by idiots. Apparently they were also setting off smoke bombs/flares before the game and after they scored too?

I was a couple of blocks further down in Club and could see everything going on......loads of disgusting pissed up Mickeys trying to get at what looked mostly looked like youngsters and families immediately next to them. Some typical scummy Scouse slaggy birds involved too......nice.

Fuck the lot of em - back to your 6th/7th placed trophy

IMHO going to Goodison in the 80"s was way more dangerous than Elland Road or other horrible places.

Which was weird given their success then - though tbf the poverty round there was shocking. It made Haringey look like Parsons Green lol.
