Keep them in for another round where they will hopefully get ripped to pieces by Real or PSG or whoever or just fuck off out of it tonight. Either way, as long as the *word censored* don't win it, I couldn't care less.

Pissflaps. Sounds like Olympiakos are doing their usual out-of-Greece disappearing act. I'm not watching the game but BBC live text said for the 3rd Welbeck bought a foul. Judging by the lack of uproar over Sturridge's horrendous dive (where a player from a less media-popular club and a foreign country would have been pilloried and accused of ruining the game) presumably Welbeck has done six somersaults when the bloke got within 5 yards of him but given his nationality has 'bought a freekick?

However much we complain about refereeing in PL it will never be as bad as the spineless bias CL refs show to big sides (especially at home). Towards the end any touch on a United player, the arms went out and the shout went up and the ref's whistle was in his mouth. Then in the space of 15 seconds Rooney and Ferdinand both jump and push their man out the way so they had free headers, nowt. When van Judas went down on 88 mins Olympiakos could have expected another 5-6 mins of play, instead they had 3 and a half by the time play had resumed and the ref had given a farcical 5 minutes of stoppage time.

Worst of all I bet van Judas isn't even badly injured. Ah well at least they'll get a bumholing in the next round, I personally hope it's from Barcelona.

I got a bad feeling UTD will win the CL. Hopefully they draw Munich and that will kill of this revival.

They have little chance of going any further in the competition. Real, Bayern or Barcellona would give them a schooling. I'd expect Chelsea to beat them comfortably too.

I would be worried as we've seen it all before with the Chavs flukily going all the way in one of their worst seasons in the league since the russkie arrived. Then I imagine Moyes lifting the European Cup and those worries quickly vanish.

I do understand the paranoia a little bit given what happened with Chelsea. And I do think that United could and probably would give Dortmund, PSG and Atletico a game - Dortmund are really struggling this year and the latter two both lack (recent) CL experience in the latter stages. Not saying they would be favourites but they are capable of beating those teams. Shit as they are United still have firepower up top and if you get an early away goal the whole tie changes.

They would lose over two legs against Chelsea and I would actually enjoy watching that (although I'd rather Chavs didn't waltz through to semis). I don't give them any hope over two legs vs Bayern, Madrid or Barca. Personally I hope United draw Barca as it's incredibly fashionable to pretend Barcelona aren't a class side nowadays and the complete and utter demolition would be all the more humiliating. Would also love Chelsea to get Bayern Munich and see what Mourinho would do tactics-wise. Nightmare draw would be Dortmund v United and PSG v Chelsea.

No chance. They made hardwork of beating a side that would be the equivalent to a Fulham in the prem.

They're going to be up against one of the following in the next round:

Barca, Real Madrid, Atletico, PSG, Bayern, Dortmund and Chavs.

It's going to be a brownholing of the highest order.

Reading some of the post-match comments, I am reminded of the massacres that were predicted when Chelsea played Barcelona and Bayern in 2012. So I think predicting writing off United to certain heavy defeat at this stage is a mistake. Moyes winning the Champions League may seem ludicrous, but is it any more ludicrous than it being won by a man who had previously been sacked by West Brom when in the relegation zone?
