Well said Spunky ! Pretty much echoes what most of us thought about that cringeworthy episode at St James's Park last May. It will fall on deaf ears though as the open top bus and carnival have been planned for Carrow Road

David Seaman insists Arsenal must never again celebrate finishing fourth.

The former England goalkeeper , who won three titles with the Gunners , was dismayed to see Arsene Wenger’s players in wild jubilation on the final day of last season when they beat Newcastle 1-0 to pip Tottenham to the final Champions League place.
But, with Arsenal’s top-four prospects under threat again before today’s trip to Everton, Seaman has urged the club to raise their sights.

Seaman said: “I remember when Arsenal finished fourth and the players were really celebrating. It was a little bit difficult for me to accept that.

“We weren’t like that when I was playing. Then, we’d be disappointed if we didn’t win anything.

Who cares. We'll still get fourth and win the F.A. Cup, Wenger will be lauded by Kroenke and sign a new contract, and all will be well in Wenker's garden. :duh:

Another lacklustre team performance today against a very good Everton side. We can watch Giroud run around like a **nt and stick his tongue out at the pathetic misses he'll make. I got no idea who might score for us or even if we'll make that many chances. I hope Ox plays and tbh I want us to batter them but it'll be difficult.

Good luck Arsenal :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Monreal, Arteta, Flamini, Rosicky, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud

Ramsey on the bench. Sure we will see him at some stage, the dreaded Arteta/Flamini axis...

Bit worried about the team playing today, I would've played Chamberlain over Poldi and Coleman on that right side against Monreal is also a bit of a worry but we'll see how it goes, we should have just about enough to beat them.

He's moaning already......Martinez only needs to show this article to Barry and Lukaku before the game.

Boo hoo....the nasty loan system isn't fair
The loan system is a mess and is exploited by big PL clubs. Chelsea tend to have 20+ players out on loan at any given time, they just snap up talented youngsters with no intention of giving them a chance for at least 3 or 4 years (and even then very few of them get any game time to prove themselves).

But who the fuck are we to moan about the loan system? Let's not forget us playing God getting Birmingham promoted by loaning them three players. And if there was ever an indictment of the loan system it is a club with massive resources loaning a player on a long-term basis. Wenger was happy enough to moan about City loaning Adebayor to Spurs but signing Benayoun and Baptista on season-long loans and now Kallstrom in January is an embarrassing abuse of the system.

Yep, if anything he was favourite to get to it, but was too slow (or bottled it) and we go a and concede 20 seconds later.... No heart, no guts, no mental strength

Zero pace in this team. Unfortunate when the one player up front is probably the slowest. Beaten to a 50/50 by a goalkeeper that doesn't have to run for a living.
