Last few games
Your thoughts please guys and gals..
Do you think AW will use the remaining games of the season too give afew of the lessser experienced players a run out.. ie. Theo. Hoyte. Traore. Fabianski,Diaby, song. In place of afew players who could do with a rest.ie Adebayor, Fabregas. ect.??

well, he might aswell!
Give Lehmann and Gilberto a proper send off in the home game against everton (assuming they're leaving of course!)
Not sure about Hoyte though. Sagna's injured and Hoyte still can't get a game...and earlier in the season, we've even played Flamini, Diarra and Eboue ahead of Hoyte at right back...I think that speaks volumes about Hoyte's long term future at the Arsenal.
But yes..give Ade, Cesc, etc a rest...and play Bendner, Walcott, Denilson (if he's still alive????)

I would think a mixture.
Diaby will still be suspended for Reading. If the Sun reports about Senderos are correct and with no news on Sagna i guess Song will get at least a few games in defence (his actual position), doubt Fabianski will get much, Clichy needs a rest so Traore should get a game or two.
Theo? I think he deserves it anyway on form but prob the least likley to get a run in the team?

......Lehman
...Hoyte Djourou Senderos Traore
Eboue Denilson Gilberto (c) Walcott
........Van Persie Bendtner
Subs: Fabianski, Gallas, Song, Hleb, Ade.
Gilberto and Lehman in as it is probably their last season, Ade, Hleb, Cesc, Clichy and Ade must get some rest as they have worked so hard and some have to go to Euro 2008. Van Persie starts to get him a run of games to boost his matchfitness for Holland, who have a good relationship with us. When Diaby is not suspended, he comes in for Eboue and Walcott switches to the right, if Denilson isn't fit then Song takes his place in midfield.

I agree with Hlebby but I would like to see something really radical in one position. I'd like to see him drop Eboue and throw Jack Wiltshire in there for at least a half of one game. I've watched him a couple of times in the reserves and the boy is superb. I think he is still only 15-16 years old but Fabregas was also very young and it didn't do him any harm.

Hm, interesting idea. Maybe give Cesc and a few players who are going to Euro 2008 a rest. They'll be fresher for the tournament and have less fatigue when they rejoin us in July. For example, Ronaldo is going to be very very tired because he's got loads of games for Man Utd to go, plus Euro 2008. So he'll be tired when the season starts. I know that it is a small detail but these small details do make a difference.

Won't last forever. Remember that Henry and Terry always turned out for their teams. Never got injured. And whenever they did, they'd make a fast return. Then they both broke down and for the last two/three seasons have been having injuries. I think they were regularly injected with pain-killers. And I think the same thing might be happening to Ronaldo. Not saying it is the truth but I think something like that might be happening. Anyway seeing that Ronaldo can't be stopped. My hope might be the world's last hopePancho wrote:I realise that your comment re:ronaldo is in hope rather than based on anything else..remember he plyaed a full season in 2005/2006 then went on to the WC..only to return as leading scorer and PL champion the following season ..

Let's play big Phil on the right wing for the rest of the season and be totally amazed at his wing wizard skills. We will soon be claiming Wenger played him out of position all along.
We will take him to our hearts and he will do what Eboue did not do, score.
We've got Swis Phil on the right
He makes Ronaldo look like shite
In front of goal he shows no mercy
Scores more than Ade and Van Persie
Just an idea............

We're still in with a realistic shout of 2nd place so let's concentrate on that first.

Now back to the subject. How about sticking Walcott at centre-back, he's got the recovery pace or Bendtner as we need a good header of the ball?
