Victims FC to win the League, or who else will?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My thoughts exactly Northbank!

I follow spanish football quite closely and all 3 teams have been in pole position to win it at some point and all 3 have fucked it up, especially athletico who would have won it tonight if they had won. I really hope athletico can avoid defeat at barca next week and win la liga as they absolutely deserve it. However I have just learned that the game is next Saturday at 5pm which will clash with our final so I can't watch it! :banghead:
I felt for the Atleti fans at the end tonight, shame they couldn't all celebrate winning it at home, rather than up in the Gods at Camp Nou.
True, it would have been superb to win it late on at home, the scenes would have been great!

Winning the league at the nou camp on the last day of the season would be something special too mind so let's hope they can pull it off :D

ffs they could have won it with nearly the last strike of the game. You really don't want to go to the nou camp to win a trophy. Barca will be favs, but it would be a travesty if Barca were to win it.

Sucks that it clashes with the FA Cup, hopefully by Saturday end I won't care if atletico won it or not.

I'm hearing from various sources that it is now Sunday.

Initially it was reported that it was Saturday but sky , bbc and also la liga website all saying Sunday now!

Thought I should double check as despite what happened yesterday my impression from their fans and the media was that Liverpool had actually won the league after 35 games.

I can confirm I've just checked and the league is still showing them in 2nd :barscarf:

It's instagram, and I'm afraid it really is the real Bacary Sagna! The comment has since vanished, I'm guessing because of the torrent of abuse that was directed to him as a result of it.
Unfortunately you're right, it is Sagna. He deleted the comment afterwards due to the abuse he received. Sad stuff.

If it was the real Sagna, who was abusing him? Gooners? WTF? :| It's a bit pathetic that he can't congratulate his mate without people having a hissy fit.  He showed no disrespect to The Arsenal. Some fuckers have too much time (and outrage) on their hands.

Definitely too close for comfort, but the collapse (literally in Gerrard's case  ) was hilarious.

Thanks for that because it's cleared up a bit of confusion for me. I've been expecting the victory parade with Gerrard holding the trophy. Isn't that what was going to happen?

This really has been a frustrating season of recent times, FFS 8 points and we could be double chasing this weekend.

5 points V Orcs away and Swans home then 3 points v one of the teams around us and we would have been there.

What a total **ck up those transfer windows were, Im totally sure that they cost us big time. Kalstrom in particular must be the most embarrassing transfer/ loan for us since Clive Allen :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It was pretty obvious with all the 3 big teams changing managers as well as the perennial injuries that a proper transfer transaction would have paid off financially in winning the league.

All involved should hang their heads in shame :(

Yeah the majority seemed to be Gooners. Was some pretty aggressive stuff as well. Like I said earlier I can see why people would be upset, as it wasn't like he just said "Congratulations", I can understand that people could see it as being more of a snidy, sarky comment than a congratulations. But the abuse he received was a bit uncalled for, especially considering the loyalty he's shown us!

i feel sorry for Bac - 7 years and no titles. when he joined us, we'd just won 3 in 9 years.

like Clichy and Kolo, i have no issue with them leaving to win stuff - and i know i'm in the minority, but RVP too.

who could blame Bac if he left to go liverpool, chelsea or City to win the League, rather than underachieving under Wenger ?

i'm very grateful that Ox, Gnabry and Ramsey are contracted to us after Wengers next contract ends, otherwise they'd be off too - preceded by Walcott who to be fair has been here eight years without a trophy already.

If a person kills themselves, it's called suicide

If a person kills somebody else, it's called homicide

If a group of people are killed it's called genocide

If you haven't won a league in over 20 years, it's called merseyside   :barscarf:
