Then we wouldn't have had to buy Ozil and we could have got Fabregas this summer.
Instead we will get neither and we all know who's fault that is.

This club is a total shambles and supporters are being conned.
Last summer there was a lot of transition amongst the top teams, whereas this summer there is stability.
2014/15 will be a very long season.

Last Summer was one of the biggest missed opportunities in the transfer window with City, United and Chavski all changing managers and Liverpool not in the Champions League.......and until the 11th hour we had signed the Parcelforce Kid from Auxerre before signing a quality player in the one position it wasn't needed and a reserve keeper on loan who was as anonymous as Park.

This year with the exception of United all the big clubs are settled and are already making moves to get their business done.

We'll dither around for 2 months before eventually announcing that Remy has signed for an undisclosed fee, some useless halfwit in goal from the back of beyond will join on a free, and we'll sign a RB from France that is probably little better than Jenkinson. £30m + trousered from the CL again for Kroenke Inc

Is he still here ????

Hell, yes, but only for another TWENTY FOUR MILLION POUNDS and THREE more years of pure comedy.
Shit, for those calling for Moyes to replace him last summer, I am beginning to agree with 'em.

To Wenker, all the previous5/6 seasons it has meant nothing, so what has changed ? oh yeah, we managed to scrape through and won it this year.
I'm glad somebody responded with this very valid point !

Cesc Fabregas, World champion, European champion, La Liga winner, Spanish Cup winner, European supercup winner, a former PFA footballer of the Year nominee, isn't good enough for Arsenal.
Right.

But he is good enough for Chelsea (the team that destroyed us 6-0). He is good enough for Mourinho, who has a cv Wenger couldn't achieve on Championship Manager.

Oh but I forgot. Wenger won the FA Cup and besides. We don't need Cesc so better to let Chelsea have him! Hopefully Arsene can spend his time in Brazil negotiating new fancy deals for Arteta, Sanogo, Giroud, those 2 youngster rejects from PSG and that free transfer from Bastia.

SUPER! :barscarf:
Cesc has gone backwards, Chelsea are welcome to him.
Of course Wenger wont get any praise for making him the player he was before he left.
Let's just praise Jose instead for producing dull football, negative tactics, all for hundreds of millions of pounds...... :rubchin: :rubchin:
What, the dull football that raped us inside out 6 - NIL! ??? :rubchin:
Shame that 6-0 didnt win them a trophy eh? They also beat all the teams around them in the league and still finished third, just a couple of points ahead of us. Good job Jose.
How many times has wenger beaten mourinho?? - :rubchin: :rubchin: :rubchin: - uhhmmm None! - I detest mourinho - But because he has the tactical know how - to beat the victims on their own ground whilst we got raped 5 - 1 again...something tells me he knows more about football and how to inspire players than Le Cock....the fact that the chavscum finished ahead of us again - just shows that nothing has changed since mourinho was last managing in the prem - he has got wenker by the balls and that's a FACT! jose!

Edit: next you'll be saying getting raped by the victims, raped by man $hitty and then by the chavscum didn't hurt!?
Great. So it's no longer about trophies it's about getting one up on Mourinho?

No - it's all about trophies: we've only won one in the past 9 years; Mourinho has won several leagues, many cups, and a champions league within that same time span.

I like how you're trying to erase a near decade's worth of failure because we managed to win the FA Cup and Mourinho won fu*k all.

The FA was massive for us ,but can we build on it,it all depends on Arsenals or rather wengers willingness to change .
The problem as I see it is that not only can he not change he becomes daily ever more rigid and that can only be bad !

The Honeymoon he bought himself all be it through little credit on his side wont last very long if we fail to strengthen the squad this season .

I really am sick of the lies and of Wenger's greed. His lies are too many but among his various crimes is his utter contempt for supporters. The way he talks as if HE is doing US a favour by stealing £8m a year (!) "I agreed to stay here and gave my word". No mate sorry don't want you here. There is his 'socialism' about wages and his moaning about how we are on the edge of a football financial crisis....yet he happily negotiates hardball higher wages for himself! His tactical acumen is a total joke, and he is too arrogant to delegate to anyone. The 6-0 at Chelsea was almost as shocking as the 8-2, and the 5-1 at Anfield. The FA cup has NOT swayed me, not when Wenger said I quotw "When you go to sign players nobody asks you how you did in the FA cup. They want to know if you can win the league or the CL".
Wenger said that!
Could go on but not much point. This Fabregas business is another dark, dark chapter. Why even bother having the clause in there if it won't be used? I don't buy this BS from many of our fans. Cesc pisses all over Cazorla (who scores against rubbish), Ozil, Arteta (lol you serious?). He should be signed simple. AW too arrogant though. And as usual, our soppy ridiculous fans will blame Cesc when WENGER is the one to blame. It's the same with RVP: yeah RVP is a nob but did he sell himself to Man U? If Liverpool were able to keep Suarez without CL footie what is the excuse for Arsenal becoming Citeh/Chelsea's development academy? The ST prices, the overpaid dross etc. It does not feel like my club anymore and as for Wenger, I've never disliked or been more indifferent to any Arsenal manager. EVER.

anyways. Hi!
The clause was there, just in case we needed his services in the event of him leaving Barca.
He's leaving Barca, but we don't need him.
So we don't need to invoke the clause.
Is pretty simple to me.
Or shall we use the issue just to slag off Wenger, without any reason to your argument??
Have you read what you wrote there?!  Here's a thing; Do you recall how we were storming the PL earlier this season? Do you recall the main reason? Ramsey? Do you recall Ramsey getting injured and us not having the proven quality to replace him? Do you honestly think we will go this season without key injuries? Do you not think it would be advisable to have top players in the squad to allow for injury or suspensions or drop in form or fatigue? Seriously?
Do you honestly think Fabregas would be happy to come as understudy to the likes of Ozil and Ramsay??
No, I dont think so.....lol
Who said anything about understudy? Not me. I said we need a strong squad with quality players to play when other quality players are injured. My point is we get regular injuries to our best players and replace them with poor or average players. This is one of the main reasons we can't win the PL. If Cesc came then some games Ramsey plays, some games Cesc plays, some games Ozil, or any combination thereof that works, would be my way of seeing it. Cesc would have to earn his place. At least that is how it should be.

Long before Wenger introduced to Arsenal this idea of the oh-so-precious pampered modern footballer, there was a thing called a squad. Players in that squad were expected to earn their place in the first 11. There was no bullshit like "I'm not signing a top quality player because it would kill Denilson/Eboue/Mong/whoever". The concept was you gathered as many really good players as you could and you let them fight it out to see who played on the Saturday. The best most in form player started on the Saturday.

@Laughing Gooner

Understudy?

Could quite happily see a midfield of Ramsey and Flamini in the middle, Cesc as number 10 with Ozil and Walcott as the wide men.

But Herd had a theory that Cesc fell out with Wenger, I have heard that from someone else too before Herd posted it here.
No idea if true or not?
