After tonight the Bin Dippers have surpassed the scum as the most detestable fans in football.

Felt sorry for the girlfriend beater (sterling) - after the Italy game the media had hyped him up above any realistic expectations and he was never going to be as dominant in this game.

Thought wilshere should have been first sub on tbh - I thought that he (jack) was poor the last game but Henderson was total dogshite tonight and should have been subbed at half time imo
The substitutions have been pretty thoughtless imo, even considering the dearth of decent options. Hodgson caved to the media clamour for Our Lord and Saviour Ross Barkley and another populist sub in Lallana even though bringing him on against Italy offered nothing.

I thought that lallana did well against italy

Ox would have made a big difference tonight - when your options are so poor that you have to resort to playing wellbeck on the wing (or anywhere for that matter  ) then you are fighting with one hand behind your back straight away

Obviously I am in the minority (of 1) but I thought that the ref had a good game  The only gripe I have, and it applies to all the games, is that they seemed to stopped the practice of booking players for deliberate dives :o I honestly don't think we have ever seen a game played outside scouseland where so many victims players were diving - sturridge in particular spent more time collapsing to the floor than his buck toothed team-mate playing for Uruguay, and he was far from a model pro either

Obviously the cannibal was the difference and he is top top quality ( :( ) but I have to say that I was very impressed with the bald defensive midfielder for Uruguay - the de jong lookalike won so many tackles and just played simple passes to his team-mates

The Ox wouldnt have made a blind bit of differnce. He like the rest of the England players are overhyped The Ox started about 5 league games and is going to the world cup.And dont get me started about Walcott and Wilshere. They are hyped up like Barkley Sturridge and Sterling.A few good games and they are world beaters.Rooney Gerrard Lampard dont make me laugh. In the top 25 players in the running for the Ballon D'or not one was English. When was the last world class English player and how many of the English team play abroad?None

This says it all http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02191f7

You would have thought we'd unleashed the next Zico to hear the commentator delight at Barkley getting 30 mins

Honestly, he's like a greedy little kid in the playground refusing to pass to anyone - the odd Cruyff turn and dribble in amongst another woeful performance, giving the ball away cheaply and catching the whole team up field. People think Wilshere's retention of the ball is poor - fuck me, Barkley is an absolute liability of the highest order

Glad it made your evening Sid :D

You'll enjoy even more now the inevitable "root and branch" review of English football that the latest FA imposter Greg Dyke will demand. This will consist of a load of ex-faceless FA men and equally unsuccessful former players saying that we don't have enough coaches, kids play on pitches that are too big, we don't get enough exercise at schools, there are too many foreign players over here, and inevitably if we don't get off to a cracking start in the Euro qualifiers Woy will lose his job

Then we'll decide that a foreign manager will make all the difference, Barkley will be the next bright young thing we need to "build the team around" (quote Arry Redcrapp already today), we'll herald a bright new era as we knock Estonia over before more inevitable failure at Euro 2016

Its as predictable as Wenger's 31 August trolley dash and a 4th place finish !

Gerrard and Rooney have been appalling, both should be retired from international football immediately.
Jordan Henderson doesn't even look like a footballer, let alone an international one!! Sturridge didn't have a clue against Uruguay and worst of all........Hodgson. I've always liked the guy but he looks like a guy who worked at B&Q up to the world cup and all of a sudden, the day they flew out, someone said 'off you go, you're managing Ingerland'. The man doesn't have a clue, not a clue.
After playing Rooney on the left (?) and putting in one of the most innefective performances by anyone EVER in the shirt, he left him there for 45 mins, watching Ingerland get raped down that side against Italy. It wasn't just piss poor management it was negligent!! Then he picks the same bunch of tossers against Uruguay and as far as substitutions go......only Arseole Wonga makes worse ones!!!
Pathetic.....I didn't expect anything different but it's actually been worse than I thought, particularly from Hodgson, he should quit straight after the world cup.

I actually thought Rooney did pretty well yesterday - too easy to blame him for the performances

The Leighton Baines myth revealed itself yesterday - Cole is a far superior defender in every way, whilst Jagielka and Cahill are just pure ordinary at top level. Johnson has never been a natural defender

Didn't think the midfield or forwards were too bad at all - the defending was simply comic book and when you look at that back four is it in the least bit surprising?

watching England against a good side is like watching Arsenal play against a good side - you know who will win before the game kicks off.

terrible World Cup for England but becoming a very profitable one if you like an unpatriotic punt - I managed to get 3/1 on Italy to win at half time the other day and Uruguay were 3/1 to win before the start of the match yesterday.
