THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The double ?? Surely with all these world class players that 1989 claims we are signing, nothing less than the quadruple will be a success ? In fact I am so reassured by 1989's ratings of these players, that I am gonna stick a big wedge of cash on us to win the champs league, the prem league, the fa cup, the whoever sponsors it now league cup, the fifa world player of the year, the nobel peace prize and the pulitzer prize 8) :barscarf:
But We didn't win the Emirates cup, shit season

Forgot about that one and the charity shield 8)

I think we are all secretly hoping Pod is shown the door and we get a proper left winger.

WENGER - STILL TIGHT AS A DUCKS ARSE!

Post by romfordwisp »

When we were told Arsenal had 100 million plus to spend and went and got Sanchez, i thought blimey were actually going to really go for it this year and get some top top quality players in and try and win the league and cl etc.
we got sanchez and debuchy and there were rumours of balotelli, khadera, casillas, remy etc , i thought everyone wants to come and it was so cool being linked with BIG names for a change.
But old tight arse got 2 players in and a goaly (for pocket money) and i think thats about it. maybe a defender if vermalen goes.
I dont care if we really need them or not, it would be so nice for a change to buy big names rather than hearing we've bought some kid from somewhere ive never heard of for 2 quid.
Wenger gives me the right hump.
If i win the lottery on friday i'll buy khadera sod the misses porsche.

You could give wenger one billion dollars and he will still shop for cheap and unknown players. Wenger will never change.

1. No one said we have a transfer budget of £100 million

2. There is over a month to run in the transfer window

i see LVG has told manyoo that pre-season tours are solely 'commercial activity' and won't be happening again under his watch...

if only Wonga could have the balls to tell our lot the same.

though the idiot seems to want Jack to play the DM role still as well :banghead:

Far be it for me to defend le cock here, but that was a battle that he had (and won) for many years until we moved from our home to the souless bowl and we became desperate for money  It's funny but when he was continually going to austria many fans complained about the club not expanding the clubs support by going elsewhere
