THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wondered where you had gone, thought you might of had an accident at the bbq
SteveO's BBQ is a fallacy mate - It does not exist and never will......If it did the only person likely to get an invite would be lord Wenger himself.

I think Wenger is a genius

he has managed to sell all those season tickets with the promise of competing with Chelsea and City.
amazing that he is able to do all that whilst deciding not to add to a strikeforce of Sanogo, Campbell and an injured Giroud

yes, sadly even that little scally twat can see it :
'Arsene Wenger does not seem to adapt in any way shape or form for opposition teams in the Premier League.

He doesn’t seem to adjust his principles for any opposition team. He only thinks about what Arsenal are going to do and that they’ll always come out on top, but it’s not working now year after year against the bigger teams.
wonga is the worlds best salesman. he makes the same mistakes year after year but wiggy and ivan keep him and give him shopping pay rises.

the fact that our top 3 current striker options at Arsenal - Sanogo, Campbell and Sanchez have yet to score a competitive goal for the club is surely a damning indictment of Wenger

You can only laugh at the incredible lack of planning and foresight.

Alan Smith says that Wellbeck would be a good signing for Arsenal..he also says it would be good for Wellbeck , as United have played him out of position...thankfully Arsene and Arsenal never play players out of position, so he will be safe with us.

What I don't understand about Wenger is why he is still penny-pinching and dithering. I assumed (wrongly) that his extension would see him actually start to go for trophies and buy players like he did in the distant past rather than doing what he did Pre-Ozil (the barren years).

So it looks like he is going out with a whimper which means 3 more years of 4th place trophies.

On a positive note, I am glad that I gave up the ST as this is getting very boring....

I wonder does anyone else in the wacky world of football see the correlation between playing players out of position, wedging them into systems that don't suit them or play to their strengths, and the fact that those same players then don't deliver and/or look a bit shit?

Anyone? :rubchin:

:suicide:

if Wenger doesnt bring in a top class striker - Falcao and Cavani are available - then this should be a sacking offence.

Gazidis year after year states that there is money to spend
and what is the ticket price increase actually for????

there should be Wenger OUT banners held up by everyone attending tonight, but instead when we beat mighty Besiktas on penalties "One Arsene Wenger " will be sung around the stadium :banghead:
