THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

As much as anything else, how on earth can people turn round and call any anti-Wenger fans 'fickle' when that only belts out during a comfortable win after a few good results?

Nobody should be remotely surprised by this. For years and years Wenger has kept himself above the water by picking up a few soft wins whenever the pressure has mounted. There will be at least one more horrendous period before the end of the season and inevitably a tremendous recovery to stroll into the top 4. And next years. And the following season.

Red Action did a great job drumming up support for that chant! Now all we need is another love-parade for Lord Arsene

are the AKB's judging wenger on one game ? - surely not.

newcastle were dire today - lets see how we do at west ham, liverpool and soton. bit more of a realistic assessment imho.

Sky were on a love roll as well. Pardew's hero worship extended to setting his team up to play to our strengths. Having said that, that's possibly the best we've played IMO this season. No Wilshere helps, Cazorla as playmaker did very well.

I thought both of them should be subbed when Giroud went off, Sanchez is exhausted and Giroud is still adjusting after long term injury.

OK to bring on Podolski but why not bring on Maitland-Niles on for more than three minutes and give Sanchez a rest?

There's no way to get rid of this fucker. Arsenal fans just can't bear to do that.

There's absolutely no chance of us not finishing fourth, either.

Southampton have folded, West Ham will be done before the end of the year, and Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton have all decided to take the season off just when Wenger is teetering on the brink.

The Premier League has been predictable for years, but it's only December and this season is set in stone. Chelsea or Man City to win it (probably Chelsea), Man Utd third, Arsenal fourth, the rest miles behind. Somebody wake me up in August 2015 when we can do it all over again.

Anyone who thinks Wenger is the man who has the ability to take us forward is completely deluded.

I'll never understand the pro-Wenger mentality. Every win against any calibre of opposition is seen as a sign of improvement and progress and is greeted with the same smug "I told you Wenger was the right man" reaction.

"We just beat a shit Newcastle team at home, I think we may have turned a corner"
"The underlying problems with the club have been solved in the week since the 3-2 defeat to Stoke"

The naivety needed to be an AKB is truly astounding

This was his actual quote, "I dreamed of playing for them, I loved them since I was a child. I don't detest Arsenal because of the way Wenger treated me. My frustration is I quit Arsenal too soon. I left a club I loved without really showing how good I was. I am happy I went there and was able to work with Wenger. I never thought I'd quit after just two seasons."
