THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Suggestions from the media that Arsenal fans are fickle after the one Arsene Wenger chant. Fans aren't allowed have different opinions then. If one fan thinks something then its a representation of what all fans think. The media really will go out of their way to criticise us.

Not everyone on here wants to publicly abuse Wenger.
But yet baba (or whatever name he is going by these days) is viewed as a wum ? I know which one comments are nearer to reality and it aint the chav fan

Really ashamed to be a Gooner for the past few days - it was shameful and cringeworthy to hear those stupid brainless c.unts sing for the "specialist in failure" like he had just shown how a good a manager he really is

All those who sang for him on saturday can go fcuk themselves because they are just too stupid to realise what le cock has turned this great club into

So anyone know a worthwhile lower league club to follow for the next few years

Come and watch my beloved Hendon. We need you, fourth in the table, real chance of a play off spot, yet we had only 107 to watch us on Saturday.
There are no Premier matches (or any league games I believe) on Saturday 27th, we are at home to Wingate & Finchley, and as an incentive you can pay whatever you like to get in.
After nearly 50 years of watching Arsenal I've had enough, walked away. It can be done, so much happier (and richer) now.

Out of interest, where is BlahBlahitchycoo since the Toon game? What's wrong, did we play too much good football? Score a few too many quality goals?

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Watched Sunday Suppliment, Goals on Sunday, Soccer Saturday etc etc over the weekend. The popular media perception is we Gooners are fickle ungrateful arseholes. We were "suddenly" all against Wenger (oh noes, shock horror!
), he then delivered two "great" results and us fickle arseholes are all back behind him now!
Yaaaayy!!

He is good enough to deliver the minimum required for our unambitious money-driven Board. He doesn't give one shit what the fans think or say. The media still love him.
So, deal with it, accept it. He's going nowhere anytime soon. He will decide when he's leaving.

Yep someone on here who hates Arsenal and knocks us at any opportunity is a real Gooner and someone who clearly loves Arsenal and isn't desperately unhappy with things is a chav wum

And yet...
... some posters are happy to abuse one of our most respected players of the past cos he chose to move to another club when it was clear our glorious leader has no intention of challenging for major trophies and didn't want him.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
How many of the top clubs in Europe would take Wenger this season or at the end of the season?
I know that almost all of the "also-ran" sides (Liverpool) would take him tomorrow, but of the title challengers in each country who would have him?
If top jobs became available tomorrow (for example, if Guardiola had to leave Bayern for person reasons), who'd take him on?

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I have got no problem with afc forever being on here and saying he supports Arsenal - after all as Saturday proved there are thousands more like him.
I am more annoyed about the fact that the thousands of Arsenal supporters who have wanted Wenger gone for a long time now have been branded "fickle" by those in the media over the weekend. I suppose the problem is this - a lot of the genuine, long term fans have now been priced out of actually going to support the team in the stadium and so the true reflection of the fanbase is not being portrayed.
Newcastle - we won - so what? so we fucking should with our resources compared to them. in fact we do tend to beat them every year anyway, so why do the AKB's think that the win means we have turned a corner???

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I would imagine he would get any job he wanted on the world. Seriously and it's possible he would do really well with them. Things have gone stale at Arsenal and have been for 5 years or more but hes a decent manager and at another club he could do well IMOarseofacrow wrote:How many of the top clubs in Europe would take Wenger this season or at the end of the season?

Because there are none so blind as those who do not want to see and there none so deluded as ones who want to believe. It's Christmas , time for fairytales and fluffy endings. Elsewhere on this forum , I think, someone posed the question " if the AKBs and media were right on Saturday based on a win against Newcastle, then will the rest of us be right when we get our next hammering against a top club ?"Gunner Rob wrote:I have got no problem with afc forever being on here and saying he supports Arsenal - after all as Saturday proved there are thousands more like him.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
So it's all down to resources? Rubbish, if that's the case we might as well give up and let city and chav win everything. The whole point of replacing Wenger is we could get a better manager/tactitian who could compete with less resourcesGunner Rob wrote:Newcastle - we won - so what? so we fucking should with our resources compared to them

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Arsene Wenger has just announced that as he has managed more Capital One Cup games than Herbert Chapman he now is the greatest manager in the history of the Club.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The media are the fickle ones surely? They reported the infighting amongst the Arsenal support at Stoke but a week later they are looking at Arsenal fans as a whole. Unity doesn't exist anymore at Arsenal and its almost entirely down to Wenger that there is this division.
As we all know, its not one group of people changing their opinion on Wenger every week. There are two sides and depending on the result, you may hear one lot one week and the other lot the next.
I can never see a time when Arsenal fans are totally united ever again because even after Wenger has gone these 'rivalries' will continue. How tolerant will the fans who still back Wenger be of a new manager if things do not immediately? I expect they will be ready to pounce on every mistake.
People talk about wanting Wenger gone but still respecting him for the good things he has done for the club. That's fair enough but what about the bad things he has also done?
The man has done a lot of damage to Arsenal FC and splitting the fan base has to be one of the worst things anyone can do at a club. For me, that alone is an extremely valid reason to get rid of him.

EIGHTEEN years and his most successful season in this was when we lost to Birmingham City in the final !Bradywasking wrote:Arsene Wenger has just announced that as he has managed more Capital One Cup games than Herbert Chapman he now is the greatest manager in the history of the Club.

one Arsene Wenger, there's only one Arsene Wenger!
