THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I posted this before but it doesnt matter who decided to set up a more defensive shape. Wenger is the manager and as such will take the fall or get the praise one way or the other. We cant have it both ways.
Doesnt matter if injuries forced him into it and he had to play Coq. Doesnt matter if the players had a meeting and wanted to tighten up.
Is on Wenger. Hes the manager. End of story.

But it does prove that hes been selling us short for years with his egotistical persuit of utopian football. It begs the question, why has it taken him so long to dd what WOBs and Wenger supporters have been begging him to do for ages?

Conversely it only goes to show that hes been finished for a long time

The win against City, although welcome, has to be qualified by the fact that City aren't that great at the moment. This is a real pressure game for both clubs and will give a good indication if we are making progress.
we are in this situation EVERY season. it is a big game this season admittedly but hardly one of the biggest games ever for Wenger.
he is under absolutely no pressure even if he loses the game 0-6.

For the record Robin L your post is embarrassing  up there with Babatunde/ikewechu posts for ranting over the top bullshit and name calling and you've done yourself no good what so ever on here
Haha, you pick me up on "name calling" and using that word, yet no mention of the same done to me in the post immediately above your own, which quite clearly you would've read prior to posting.

Hilarious stuff, and I believe you lot are still trying to maintain the facade of this being a neutral site, where views both pro and anti-Wenger are allowed and considered in equal measure. Superb

Oh they certainly are allowed and considered, thusly we haven't deleted any of them. The difference is that those views are not agreed with by the majority on this particular forum.

Hang on Robin I compared you to the biggest negative poster on here, so there are no sides in my case. As I said you've done yourself no favours with the childish outburst just as my mate Babatunde does himself no favours (apart from hero worshipping from his groupies)

This forum is more on the negative side of things granted but no one says you can't post you opinion, just have a tin hat on. If you get a chance look back at bendtner drinking buddy posts he's a good example of how to post pro(ish) posts with becoming abusive

Robin L It is a fair site and like db says the majority is opposed to AWs form of management and rather than blindly swallowing the bull that our club or should i say Mr Kroenke`s business asset keeps spouting out to appease the fans.I think it just so happens that most of us on this site have been round the block and seen the old Arsenal when a trophy was a good season and when the manager didnt bullshit the fans with such disrespectful manner and such a transparent way so that he never lost our respect. This is why when someone comes on here that if they put forward a wum view or a biased view that someone will come and slap them down.At the end of the day its midnight. :D

No mate, you're wrong. We've "turned a corner" this time. This time its for real. Dont be such a hater.
Wenger is the right man for the job. Who else could do what he does? Money etc... Champions League bla bla
Just stop hatin on the man and get behind the team. Wenger has proven all the haters wrong.............again

starting the season with literally just the first choice defence?
Still no defensive midfielder until injury forced his hand?
Still no tactics until the players tell him how to get a result against a top 6 team for the first time in years?

Fuck off Wonga, a blind retard could do a better job (and he could do his coat up first time). Turnaround my arse!!
